<div align=center>The canteen was packed, full of bustling, chatting students. The noise was amplified for Evan, and made his head hurt, but he was hungry enough to stay in here. He'd easily found his way back with Zelda's help, and was somewhat thankful for her being there. Surprisingly, the queue for food wasn't as long as he had expected, and he had sat himself at an empty table, waiting for Zelda to get herself something to eat. Evan had settled for a sandwich and a carton of orange juice, though he was currently only picking at the bread, his mind was elsewhere.

He nibbled absently at the straw from his carton, staring off into the distance somewhere, before pulling off a small chunk of bread from his sandwich and putting it in his mouth. It was soft, and it tasted good, though he hadn't actually taken a bite of the sandwich yet. </div>

<div align=center>Truthfully, Evan didn't know, he hadn't really eaten any of it yet. The bread was good though, and Evan liked bread. "It's good," he chirped, pausing for a moment, and laughing softly. "At least, the bread is." He looked down at the sandwich, there had been multiple chunks torn out of it, and for some reason this made the boy laugh. "Maybe I should try biting it," he smiled softly, and took a sip of juice. He glanced up, "that looks nice, too though." He stated. Evan generally avoided meat, which was understandable due to him being half deer and all.

He struggled to stomach something that had come from an animal, and the thought of eating it made him feel a little queasy. His sandwich was cheese, something he didn't mind eating. </div>

<div align=center>Evan thought about her question for a moment, he wasn't unwilling to answer it, he was just trying to work out what exactly his ability was. "Well, I suppose I could hear a lot better than people normally can," he paused, it was true, his hearing was good, far better than that of a normal human. His sense of smell was good too, so good that sometimes it bothered him, since smells others found slightly unpleasant were extremely unpleasant to him. "My sense of smell is really good, too." He nodded, he liked the hearing more than the smell, since it was really handy for him.

The only downside was, it made him an incredibly light sleeper, in which the slightest noise would wake him, and he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep again for a while. Animals seemed to like him too, and tended to be less fearful of him than others, though maybe that was just because he was gentle, he didn't know, he certainly didn't think that it was an ability, though. He wondered what hers was, though he didn't know it it was appropriate or not to ask. </div>
