Practicing

Ithen walked out to the lake along the small dirt path, his hands in his pockets. He looked around uninterestedly.
Where are all teh students, he thought, not really caring what the answer was.
Nearing the lake, he took his hands out of his pockets and waved them in a small circle, a dull look on his face. A small smpral of water lifted from the lake, and twisted towards him. He smiled somewhat as he made it lash out at a small bird at the water's edge And turned to watch it fly out of sight.

He glanced over and shrugged. 'I guess. It's not very useful though.' He let the water fall, and turned to the other boy.
'Hi, I'm Ithen,' he said, not sure what to say. He hadn't expected anyone to talk to anyone.

He stared at Ian's hand for a few moments, then shook it. Alright...
'Cool. So, you've seen my power. What's yours?'

'Oh. Well, I'm sure your smarter then me if that makes you feel better.' He could tell that Ian didn't care much, so he dropped the subject. 'So, why did you come to teh lake? Any reason?'

'Yeah, pretty much teh same for me.' He turned back to the water, and cause another spiral to wind itself out. 'And to see the lake, after all, water is my power.' Pulling his hands away, he let the water start to drop,but then blinked, and the water froze.
'That and stopping time.' He shrugged.'They don't really match I know, but whatever.'
