Handing out a poster as a student walking by, Amber, Liliana's bonded regalia asked the student in question to vote for her partner, Liliana, for school president.

"What are you doing?" Liliana asked Amber curiously as she looked down at the box of student council posters between Amber's feet and hers.

"There is nothing in the rules that says you can't hand out posters to passerbyers while we wait for Jude to arrive," Amber smiled, the young regalia looked like Liliana's sister, they were that similar, except for the fact that Amber had chestnut coloured hair and brown eyes whereas Liliana was a red-headed with green eyes. Both girls were dressed in short black dresses, tights and ballet flats too.

"My god, you are a genius... " Liliana laughed, slightly amazed at her regalia's initiative.

Annie didn't want to go to the school. The whole place was a no guns allowed, and for someone with a literal gun slung over their shoulder at almost all times, that was a no go. Instead, Summer was with him, a fairly plain looking girl with a timid demeanor. She looked a little bit nervous, but she didn't particularly stand out as Jude headed towards the front of the school, arms loaded with posters. It was easy enough to find his competition, but Jude couldn't help but notice a few people walking around with... Flyers?

"Did you start already?" Jude asked, looking a bit mystified. Summer stayed quiet behind him, watching curiously as he stopped just short of the near-twin pair.

"Not me, no... her, my regalia, Amber," Liliana explained as Jude appeared, gesturing to the girl beside her with the flyers, posters in hand.

"She wanted to help me out, so I let her," she said, somewhat apologetically as she then looked over to Summer and smiled in greeting, "Your regalia?"

That was... alright. So her regalia was helping. Jude glanced back to Summer, who gave a small shrug of her shoulders.

"Yeah," Jude confirmed. "This is Summer, my partner." He didn't really like calling them his Regalia. It felt like it made them sound like a possession or something. Partner sounded more fair. "I was thinking it would just be us doing it, but are we going to do a free for all then? Just... whoever has the most posters up around the school first?"

He had a hundred or so in his bag, and any more than that seemed excessive. Maybe that?

"Or I guess a race to a hundred?"

"Nice to meet you, Summer," Liliana said.

"Same," Amber said with a grin while giving her a small wave hello.

"Actually, I am good with either idea, Amber just came, well, she came because she wanted to help out," Liliana said with a tiny shrug. "But if you prefer, it can just be you and me," she said eyeing Jude curiously, sizing him up as a rival, and having no problem with the idea of doing by herself.

"A hundred sounds good, the whole school then? Dorms included?" Liliana asked easily.

None of Liliana's powers were going to help her, which was something Jude was very aware of. So they were, as far as he could tell, on equal ground. It was a fair challenge for once, and Jude glanced at summer before shrugging.

"How about just the two of us?" Jude said. "I know Summer said she was willing to check in, but I think..." He trailed off, glancing towards her for a moment.

"I do have stuff to do," she admitted. "I need to grab something from the office, but how about we meet back in like... fifteen minutes and see how you guys are doing? So, whoever does the most in fifteen minutes."

Liliana glanced over at Amber, "You cool with that?"

"Sure, whatever..." Amber shrugged as she passed the flyers she was holding to Liliana. "I can come back in fifteen," she said.

"Okay, we can do that, just the two of us. I guess the ground floor only?" Liliana said, thinking that it might be hard to do the upper floors in fifteen minutes.

If he was trying to really stack the odds, he'd have shifted things a bit. Made it 24 hours, so he could take advantage and work through the night. But realistically? He didn't need that much time. Anything more than an hour spent putting up posters was just going to be wasted time. So Jude nodded, digging his posters out of his arms.

"If you get caught running, you're disqualified," Summer pointed out. "But we'll all meet back here in fifteen, alright? So... get going."

She gave them a timid wave that was clearly trying to be more commanding then it was, and Jude glanced to Liliana quickly, before giving her a quick nod.

"See you when I get back."

"No running? What the hell...?" Liliana muttered to herself, flashing Summer a slightly irritated glance. She guessed that she didn't need to run, not really, but fifteen minutes wasn´t a lot of time either.

When Jude gave her a quick nod and took off, Liliana went off in the other direction, grabbing a few extra posters from the box, immediately taping one up on the wall in front of the box and another on the opposite wall before moving down the hall another twenty meters to do the same thing.

Mostly, Summer had meant it literally. No Running in the Halls! was like the most basic of school rules, and she didn't want Jude getting in trouble for a contest she'd picked out.

She went off on her own to do her own work, leaving Jude to his.

—-

Jude had gone through sixty eight posters, and was wondering if he'd misjudged. He should have just slapped them up, but instead he'd been careful about placement, getting all the major hallways, all the staircases, the bulletin boards... He'd put them up all over, but on the way back to their meeting point he felt like he'd seen more and more of Liliana's posters.
