"Groomed? Like those weird eastern europeans who have, like, arranged marriages and shit?" Yojo asked, more than a tad concerned by Bel's usage of the word. Beyond that though, the rest of what she said felt eerily familiar to the kind of emotions he'd for a decently long time now. Her reaction to his only knowledge about Wales was genuine enough, "Stop, stoooop. You're making me feel bad now, jeez." He said as she laughed at him, looking away from her for a moment as if to hide and slink away following his admission.

"A warm bowl of crawl?" Yoshihiro echoed, confused by Bel's favorite meal. "I don't know how good that sounds- but I'll take any cake I can get though. Carrot Cake and, like, red velvet, are the flavors that I thankfully never seem to get tired of." He jested, the thought of a fluffy piece of cake filling his mouth suddenly making him hungry again. Gods, why did he have to put that image into his own head?

"Maybe if you should make like a Welsh bakery or something. Once you graduate and all that.", he offered with a shrug. "What makes you happy? That usually is a pathway to purpose for me. Maybe it's the same for you..." He asked, resorting to one of the more simple questions that he asked himself when faced with life-defining moments or choices. It helped put things in perspective for him.

Bel flashed Yojo a very surprised and slightly offended look when he suggested that her being groomed to be Beltane was comparable to an arranged marriage.

"No, groomed as in being prepared to take on fully my duties as the goddess Beltane," she corrected him while she also tried to remind herself that not everyone understood what godhood entitled and the responsibilities that came with it.

"I dunno, maybe... I can't really cook all that well..." she admitted with a tiny shrug when Yojo suggested opening a bakery. "Although it's true that I can make a fairly decent cawl ... it's really just a type of stew made with lamb, potatoes, leeks, swede, and carrots," Bel explained as she thought about it a bit more.

Shaking her head, Bel shrugged her shoulders. "I really don't know... I mean there are lots of things that make me happy. I just am not sure they'd lead me anywhere purposeful in life," she told Yojo as she set her ice cream down on the bench.

"How about you? What makes you happy?" she asked, turning the question back on him. She was interested in knowing if he had found a purpose yet.

Yoshihiro hummed as she spoke, catching that look of shock and surprise a tad before shaking it off. The description she gave him of cawl certainly made it seem more appealing to him. Sure, his soup vocabulary was limited largely to chicken noodle, but hey, this didn't seem so bad either for what it was worth. "All right, so cooking is out then." He replied as she dismissed the idea of trying to be a culinarian of some sort.

When she turned the tables on him, though, Yoshihiro froze up a tad. "Me?" He asked in an echo, a tad unprepared to answer. He'd have to filter his answers somewhat, 'I like to stalk suspicious people and snoop around in town for criminal activity', didn't seem like the kind of thing that would be endearing to the average person. "I like the beach a lot. I like watching old true crime tv shows like CSI. I, uhhh, I like going to the gym and working out and, uhhh..." He said, trying to think of the things that he actively enjoyed. "-I know that travelling to new places makes me happy, as does meeting new people." He noted with a small shrug. It was all he could think of then once he was put on the spot. More likely than not, he'd only begin to think of better answers 5 minutes after they'd said goodbye for the night.

Speaking of that, it was getting late, and he was still exhausted from the game that night. "Hey, so like, actually, I'm helping the team man a booth at the pumpkin patch for this year's Fall Festival. You should stop by, I'll need a friendly face to try and not get bored during that midday slump." He said, inviting his newfound acquaintence if she happened to be nearby. Yoshihiro put his ice cream back in his bag, as well as the spoons he'd been using. "I hope you find that purpose you're looking for. Please, tell me what it is once you do. Maybe you'll give me some better ideas than just being a cop." He said with a light chuckle as he stood up from the bench preparing to take his leave and head back to his dorm room.

Bel was surprised when Yojo admitted to wanting to be a police officer. That was, at least in her opinion, certainly having a purpose in life. She didn't believe people decided to be a law enforcement officer on a whim. It was a job that required total dedication, and probably some sort of vocation.

"Sure," Bel said as she got to her feet and picked up her bag when she sensed the conversation was winding down. She was also tired from the game and really needed to get back to her room to start on her Chemistry homework.

"I think the cheer squad will be manning a booth that day as well," she said. "So yeah, I will most definitely see you there," she told him as she tossed her tub of ice cream in a trash bin.

"Oh, and thanks for the ice cream. It was a nice after-game treat," she told Yojo with a friendly smile. "I'll see you around then, Yojo, and I hope your shoulder feels better soon," she said referring to the ice packs on his injury.
