Arianell had a relatively good time at April's rave thing. Both nights really she'd been able to get in a little dancing. And a little flirting too, she couldn't help it. At least she wasn't literally throwing herself at people. Either way though she'd felt like she wasn't quite ready for bed. And Tak had been pretty clear about wanting to stay at the rave with her even when pretty much everyone else was leaving.

Perhaps it had something to do with how they had been dancing together a few times that night. But Aria wasn't going to assume or plot anything about that. Instead she'd casually invited Take to join her walking in the park to unwind after the dancing. Technically she'd left the offer open to others but she had been fairly certain no one else would accept... and she'd seen no one else approaching the portal after Tak popped through after her.

As the shorter girl hesitantly stepped through Aria reached for her hand, both to help guide her and to make sure she came all the way through and away from the opening. She was always leery of the portal closing while someone was crossing. It would not be a pretty thing to behold.

"I'm glad you decided to come with. Not sure if we'll do much more dancing but the park's kind of nice at this time of night," Aria said warmly as she looked over, and a little down, at Tak and smiled. The glow of her green halo illuminating her head just a little against the night sky. The shimmering glow from the portal slowly shrunk away into nothingness off to the side, away from them.

Despite her curiosity about new magic, Tak was certainly a bit wary of throwing herself headfirst into something like a portal for the first time. She trusted Aria, however, and the hand she was offered caused the goblin to visibly relax. She breathed a light sigh of relief once magical gateway closed itself, staring at the spot it had been for a brief moment before turning to meet Aria's gaze with a smile.

"It is nice, yes. Good temperature, not many people." Tak's pointed, vaguely elf like ears had once again perked up to attention, and she had to make an active effort to not maintain eye contact for entirely too long. She glanced about at their surroundings once more, squinting slightly at a particularly gnarled and towering tree a short walk ahead of them.

Gradually, an almost impish grin made itself at home on her face, and she gestured to it with a lazy point. "That seems like a nice spot, yes?" The shorter of the two, as a matter of instinct, began extending a hand towards Aria's before realizing how forward the action may seem, and very poorly passing it off as an attempt to reach into her nonexistent dress pocket. Blinking rapidly a few times, she then pivoted on her heel and started heading off towards the tree at a leisurely pace, her previously perky ears now drooping slightly due to her mild embarrassment.

Aria couldnt help noticing the nervous body language. Not making eye contact was typically a sign of hiding something, but that together with the surprisingly emotive ears and... whatever Tak was doing with that hand... made Aria acutely aware of the girl's state.

So she simply smiled and moved to catch up with Tak, draping an arm around her shoulder. "I think that's a great spot to relax. Especially after all that dancing." Punctuating her words with a gentle bump of her own hips against Tak was something Aria did without even thinking. An echo of what Tak was doing while they danced.

Even at a leisurely pace it didnt take long to get to the soft grass at the foot of the gnarled but beautiful tree.

As perceptive as she usually was, something like Aria putting an arm around her normally wouldn't have come as a surprise, but her moderately frazzled state ensured that the goblin was at least a little bit taken aback. However, that wasn't to say she minded the contact, collecting herself quickly enough to be once again thrown off by the hip bump. She smiled at that, thinking back to how nice the dancing had been, and nodded her agreement.

Arriving the tree, Tak couldn't help but wish the walk over had been longer, but figured that it wasn't likely that was the last time she'd get to be physically close to the taller girl. Breaking away from her for the time being, she ran a hand over the rough and age-worn bark, the feeling of its texture on her skin strangely comforting. "This is a very good place, yes. I think it is better than staying somewhere so loud for much longer."

Glancing over her shoulder, she made eye contact with Aria for a brief moment, softly smiling once more, before turning back to the tree and taking a step back. Kicking her shoes off, she wiggled her toes in the grass, sighing gently at the plush feeling and then abruptly hopping up to gracefully swing her way onto the lowest branch, perching there and canting her head a little to the side. "How are you at climbing, mm?"

Aria relaxed her arm as they walked, mostly just resting it as it draped over the shorter girl. Casually keeping close as the two girls walked slowly up the path. There was a nice blend of scents in the air-flowers and moisture from the dew

Or rather she kept close until the girl slipped out from under her arm to bound over to the old gnarled but sturdy tree. Aria was sure she wasn't quite as connected to nature as Tak seemed to be but she smiled as the girl really seemed to relax as she ran her fingers across the bark. Aria waited a few steps behind at first, just watching. The green halo above her head still casting a light glow upon her.

Personally Aria was fine with the somewhat loud and busy atmosphere of a race, but she could guess it could be hard on those who were not as accustomed to it. "It's nice and peaceful out here. Just us and the plants and the moon," she agreed softly.

As Tak looked back at Aria the light almost seemed to catch her eyes and the two almost seemed to pause as their eyes met. Or maybe it was just their imagination. Either way Tak clearly wanted to climb the tree and Aria chuckled as she watched the girl effortlessly flip up onto a low branch. Her bare toes helping her grip.

Aria shook her head and laughed. "I can say for sure I'm not nearly as good at climbing as you are Tak..." she smiled as she glanced upwards at the tree. The branches were pretty close in some places and she didnt want to risk breaking them by making a portal if she didn't have to.

"...but I'll give it a try it you'll help me?" And with that she stepped over to beneath a sturdy looking branch and leapt up. Her hands just barely hooking on around it. Physical training for her job would help but... they didnt exactly teach tree climbing in police school.
