"After analyzing him I got an idea... I need to put it on paper before considering to practice it.", Neon looked at Izumi, "Yeah, I'm going to do that, yes.". But as he began carrying the boy in his arms, Symlink groaned "Head ache...", causing Neon to sigh and brush his cheek against Symlink's reassuringly. "It will be fine, my kit. It will be fine."

"Oh... poor thing..." Izumi said quitely under her breath as the young boy groaned. For a moment she was reminded of time when Rin had an upset stomach after drinking an awful energy drink. But at least Symlink in good hands between herself and Neon.

"Well let us not get into any of your crazy ideas quite yet. I would like to enjoy at least a few days of relative calm before we have yet another incident in this household." dryly forewarned the tanuki as she makes her way to Symlink's room and making sure that it was open.

"I concur... And I'm not gonna watch ghost horror movies for the next week or so.", one wouldn't need to tell that Neon was still shocked at what happened... At least, thankfully the next days would have been quite normal, and it has been almost a whole week until once again Symlink got an overclock, but thankfully he now knew to try and fight back the urge to go hyperactive and his heat didn't go past a high fever once it was done.



One other day, well after the second Overclock incident, Neon and Symlink were quiet, too quiet even... Then suddenly Neon asked him out of the blue "Did you get all that?", to which Symlink simply responded "Yes, dad!" in his usual cheerful manner, prompting Neon to look quite proud.

Izumi, having just returned from work, entered through the front of the house. She had spent much of the day clearing out stacks of old paperwork and rearranged the furniture in her office. While it was nice to finally tidy up her office after years of neglect, she was certain that she pulled something for her lower back ached from all the heavy lifting. It was times like this she was uncomfortably reminded that she was over 300 years old. She had hoped the soreness would have gone away on its own by the time she had arrived home but it seemed that was not going to be the case.

"Hey Rin... Neon and Symlink. I'm back." Izumi would sound completely worn out as she propped herself against wall with an outstretched arm. Rin was nowhere to be seen but that was hardily unusual as she normally was in her room with a pair of headphones. As started to make her way to her room, she would happened to come across Neon and Symlink on her route to her bedroom.

"Ah hey you two. Listen I had a bit of a long day having to move some stuff around so... I plan on just laying down on my bed for awhile. So if anyone needs me for any reason that is where I will be alright? My back is just killing me today."

They had a suck perfect synchronization at first that it would come off as creepy, but thankfully the synchronization collapsed the moment they referred to Izumi differently. Neon's smile gave in to a concerned frown once Izumi decided to go to lay down in her room, while Symlink was oblivious to what was wrong. But after a short while, Neon told his son "I will give sis a back massage now, OK? Please don't interrupt us unless needed.", with his son confirming with a cheerful nod, before the two went different ways: Symlink went briefly to his room to fetch a Game Boy Color then head to Rin's room, and Neon to Izumi's to do what he intended.

The unison of Neon and Symlink's voices as they welcomed her gave her a brief pause but she just smiled at the two of them them. She was almost tempted to comment how in-sync father and son were but she was a bit too brain dead at the moment as she was too focused in just getting to her room.

As the door creaked open, Izumi waddled over to her bed and flopped onto the mattress. She let out a content sigh as she began to relax... before she remembered leaving the bedroom door ajar. As she lifted her head and was about to get up she say Neon already by the door.

"Oh Neon? Did you... need something? If not could you close the door for me please? I'm probably going to be out like a like a light for the next few hours."

"Ah, me? Nothing really.", he said and closed the door, "But I'm going to give you a nice back massage, you seem to really need it after all. And I'll tell ya, I got the touch. Just lay on your stomach and relax, sis, you'll be as good as new soon."

"I won't be accessible for a while, OK? Is everything fine with you?"
"Ah, it is alright, dad. I'm feeling alright, no worries. Rin is just listening to music next to me."
"Good, good. Don't disturb us, alright?"
"Yes, dad!"

Meanwhile, at Rin's room, Symlink was playing Dragon Quest III calmly, and suddenly he stopped, rose his head, remained in silence for a moment, as if entranced, but then focused back on his game.

While Neon was a good intentioned and the offered massage tempting, it seemed like a weird request (or perhaps demand) from Neon to suddenly make. While they lived together and where close... a massage seemed a little too close.

"Oh... that is really kind of you but-" before politely decline him, she felt a pinch in her back as she tried to sit up. "A-ah... oooh... oh okay..."

It was momentary pinch of pain but... it was enough to make Izumi reconsider Neon's massage. It sure would be having to set up an appointment with a chiropractor.

"Ah... you know... maybe a massage is what I need... well then." slowly once again lay on her bed with her back faced up "I'll have to judge that touch for myself. Well I'm ready when you are."



As Symlink entered, he would find Rin on her computer with her headphones on while working on some homework. She gives Symlink a quick wave upon seeing that it was just him and goes back to doing her work.

"I know what it is like, I have helped my uncle before, I'll let you know.", with lotion, he warmed up his hands and then began to feel the muscles on her back, with gentle warm pushes with the tip of his fingers. "Let's see where those stiff muscles are and soften them up... Let me know if you think I'm going too rough, ok?"

Symlink waved back, before focusing once again on his game, but he kept his ears sharp, in case he was called. But then again, with his newfound connection with his father, why wouldn't they just ping one-another mentally if he was needed?

"Hrmm... so do I-" as she started to speak, she felt Neon already pressed his fingers along her back as he started the massage. Even with clothing preventing direct contact with the skin, Neon should be able to pick out the areas of tension.

"Oh... hrmmm ohhh... you're fine you're fine. Maybe a tad bit more pressure actually? I mostly feel it in my lower back and between the shoulder blades so... if you could focus on those areas that would great."

Izumi didn't realize how much she may have needed this message until now as Neon slowly worked his way those fingers and palms.
