So, I have recently returned to SA, and I'd really like to get my first character back stuck into some plots. My biggest issues with roleplaying before was I didn't really try to get meetings done with my characters in threads, so I subsequently got worried people didn't like my characters. I hope to remedy this to get my characters out there this time! Right now, this is gonna be pretty barren since I only have one character.
Bran Owens
My one and only character, right now. To briefly describe Bran, he's a pretty guarded person. He doesn't exactly play nice with others, and he knows it. At least he's self aware enough to try and stay out of trouble, right? He can be kind of hostile and rude to people he first meets, but is more conversational in subsequent meetings even if he's still being unfriendly. His behaviour fundamentally comes from how he's scared of having connections with people. He is no longer with people he grew up and fought alongside with, he presumes his twin brother is dead, and he ended up being betrayed by his allies. But when Bran trusts someone, he's loyal and a lot nicer, but has a tendency to do everything himself.
Current ideas for Bran that I have are:

Current ideas for Bran that I have are:
- First meetings. Could be someone trying to talk and they end up actually having a chat, someone in his class or at school, come by his job as security for The Reincarnation Clinic. The flipside could be something a bit less friendly. He would be a bit of an ass in a first encounter, but he could end up being decently chatty. Besides, a bit of a scuffle and trouble doesn't hurt?
- Friends. This is very much related to him meeting people, but I really want Bran to make friends. He's somewhat isolated yet doesn't even realise that he is. Bran's way of thinking means he doesn't acknowledge the frankly messed up life he has had, and how it's impacting him now that he's trying to be a more average adult. He doesn't really know what he wants to do now that he isn't fighting in a war for someone else's benefit, and he definitely didn't have enough of a childhood to really know how someone his age should act. People he can find relatable would probably be easier to befriend.
- Getting used to the island. Bran comes from an alternate dimension where magic didn't exist, and if it had, it was in a very distant past. He's very wary of the state of the island with all the magical stuff. Bran doesn't outright hate magic or the supernatural, but it makes him a bit uneasy. Being put in situations where he becomes more used to it would be good. Plus, seeing more of the technology aspects could reassure him too since it's a bit more familiar with him.
