The Schism
A group of ambitious people want to put Manta Carlos Islands on the map.  Quite literally.  Instead of hiding from the world, this group feels the world should publicly know of the existence of this island and the kind of people who inhabit it, in an effort to establish the Islands as its own true nation.

However, this group has ulterior motives.  In reality, their upper-leadership are gifted/supernatural/whatever-supremacists, and intend to attack the school while framing it as a foreign nation afraid of the power of the supernatural.  They expect the attack to unify and rally the entire supernatural nation to their cause, and begin a conquest against the whole word.  Naturally, with the leadership at the very top.

The Labyrinth
There is a hidden basement under the staircase of the ballroom. It is empty but below this room is a sleeping supernatural force that is awoken by people entering the basement. After it is awoken, the force waits until night to strike, transforming the ballroom and the adjacent areas into a living labyrinth of tendrils and solid shadows. The whole thing is a single sentient entity that feeds on the things trapped within it.

Present in the labyrinth are a variety of creatures that act as its red and white blood cells, all united in the goal of seeking out  and eliminating threats. But even if you avoid these creatures, you may not be able to avoid the labyrinth itself as it actively shapes itself to trap and digest its prey. The only way to stop it is to strike at its heart, a mass of material and energy that it constantly shifting throughout the beast.

Hidden Kingdom
Beginning with an encounter with a strange person who walks up onto/from the beach, the Academy is drawn into a conflict beneath the sea. An unknown, mysterious, and hidden kingdom beneath the waves has fallen into turmoil as an ancient evil awakens and threatens the kingdom. The students will be introduced to life beneath the seas as they take part in the struggle to stop the ancient evil.
Hidden Island
For almost 200 years, the Manta Carlos chain of islands has been protected; cloaked by a spell that hides the majority of the supernatural population to the world. And for almost 200 years, nobody has batted an eye. All things however fade with time.

Recently, several stray vessels have been found to have penetrated the layer of secrecy that the island affords. Boats have been found washed up on the islands shores...with people on board that are most certainly not supernatural. Even worse, many of these boats are approaching closer and closer to the island with each week, leading to a conclusion:

The barrier between worlds is starting to fail. Manta Carlos is no longer safe from the outside.
Why has this island been hidden so long?
And who is going to take notice?
Strange Visitor
A strange visitor through time! When a panicked individual falls through a portal, the students find out that an enemy in the far flung future has been observing them, watching them, to learn their secrets and weakness!
Lady in White
It all starts at midnight, when a group of students hunting the paranormal stumble upon the remains of a woman.  The foreboding specter of a woman in a long white dress. She is weeping, but her face lacks features, a blank canvas emitting noise. Since that night, she wanders the same courtyard- the same path at the same time every night, never responding to outside sources, and then disappearing.
She seems to be looking for something, but no one is sure.
Things change when during her nightly wander- instead of crying, she will turn her face towards the school, seemingly watching it four sometimes half an hour without moving, before disappearing into the night.

Unexpectedly, she disappears from the courtyard altogether- until one night, at midnight, something scary happens. All of the cookware in the kitchen seems to fly off their hooks and out of their cupboards- dropping to the floor en masse.

Then she disappears again.

Nothing is heard of her until about a week later, when at midnight- all of the doors on the first floor seem to close and lock themselves- and even the staff are unable to open the doors. Everyone is trapped inside.
The lights shut off simultaneously, and the screeching wails of the deranged ghost woman are heard throughout the building. Those that awakened her know that they must be the ones to fix what they've created, assembling a small taskforce to complete their mission.

Knives lift themselves from tables,
Evil shadows crawl into people's dorms,
Footsteps skitter across empty floors.....

What is going on?
What does the white lady want from the school?
How can we stop her?
Sickness
Something's in the air at Starlight, and it's really bad! This sickness is not the ordinary flu. People's powers are corrupting themselves in addition to high fevers, physical pain, and other nasty stuff. Power corruptions include shapeshifters losing control of their transformations, psychics unable to contain their power, and element users unable to stop what they can bend, and much more. Of course, the flu is contagious, so it's natural that paranoia spreads as well as certain immunities. It's not the most lighthearted of plots, but everyone catches the school bug every once in awhile.
Big Ole AU
It's not really connected to the main site, but ever wanted to see your characters as something else? Different powers? Different gender? Different Age? Different species even? Well, this plot can be a mashup of sorts where everyone meets at a school gathering, let's just say a dance. Depending on what people want (this can be up for debate) characters can still know each other and keep certain memories or start from scratch. It'll be more for fun than advancement, mostly.
The Sorta Got The Munchies Games
Well, even if they aren't out for death, this extreme game of hide and seek/survival does warrant some competition! Fake 'districts' will be matched up, one boy and one girl each. It is up to each of these districts to survive and figuratively 'kill' each other, with fake weapons of each player's choosing. Those who wish to be on the panel of controllers (or just an NPC) have the power to bend the conditions of a tiny island not too far off of manta carlos (or could be in the forests and beaches of MC). The sole survivor of the week of action will be handsomely rewarded in the player's choosing within reason. May the odds be not entirely against you!
Party!
A party is being hosted in the dorms! Anyone and everyone can go and come at will! There is really no direction that this party couldn't go, as it is to be as wild and random as the people involved want to make it. Things don't even necessarily have to make sense, and for this it is mostly just for the characters to let loose and just be themselves around friends, enemies and strangers!
Choir Of Conduct
Rule-breaking is on the decline at Starlight Academy. Attendance is approaching over 98%. Overall the school seems calmer, quieter, and studious. Is it all thanks to the new disciplinary supervisor?

Of course! But appearances are not all as they seem. For on the other hand, these once-troublesome students are apparently members of his new choir, obediently practising songs for the next performance. The scariest part? None of them are there on their own free will.

Armed with hypnotic powers, this teacher is amassing a small army of students under the guise of reforming trouble-makers into choir boys/girls. He won't stop until stricter rules are in place and every student is under his influence. The rest of staff is duped by his disciplinary success. It's up to the last 'trouble-makers' to stop him!
