The whistling noise from the kitchen snapped Erione out of his intense focus. He had been concentrating so heavily on what he was doing that he had forgot about the kettle. Sighing and shaking his head he got up from the couch and walked over to take the kettle off the heat and carefully poured the scalding water into a cup. It wasn't the first cup of tea he had made himself that morning. Setting an alarm to wake himself up early always made him groggy at first but he had a reason.

Erione was waiting to meet his new roommate. The one that was supposed to be moving in at some point that day. He had woken up early to make sure he cleaned up the shared living area and because he didn't want to miss them. Cleaning didn't take all that long and now he was just hanging out.

As he walked back over and sat on the couch with his tea in hand it was more obvious what he had been so focused on before. In front of him, on the middle of the coffee table, was a large glass sculpture. The base of which was a stylized burst of flames that gradually morphed into a phoenix with wings spread and preparing to soar off into the sky. It was mostly done but Eri had been tweaking it little by little to make it even more detailed and life-like. Or as life-like as he could for something he hadn't actually seen in real life.

He relaxed back into the couch and took another sip of his tea just as there was a sound from the door as someone arrived.

Walter hummed along to the song ballroom blitz playing from the earbud in his left ear as he walked down the hall glancing at each door number looking for his room. The werebear didn't care about how others might think he's strange because he's walking around in his hybrid form wearing a sizeable tidy pink shirt and baggy black cargo shorts. "Well, it looks like this is it." He mused after a glance at the stack of papers in his left hand before stuffing them in his back pocket an shifting his hold on the two large box on his right arm before opening the door.

"Hunny I'm home!" The massive bear said in a singsong voice as he squeezed his towering form throw the door. "Well, aren't you a cute little thing." Walter hummed with a grin on his muzzle, closing the door with a massive barefoot paw as his dark brown gaze racked over the pink teen. "Hello I'm Walter or Walt for short, and I'm your new roomate!" He said with a big toothy smile while he moved towards the slender teen offering his massive left paw in greeting.

Erione was a little startled by the sudden entrance and exclamation. He nearly dropped his cup of tea and only just managed to set it down safely on the table. In the rush some of the hot tea splashed out onto his hand but it didn't really seem to bother him too much.

Holy crap, they're a bear?!

Eri hopped up from the couch and walked a little towards the towering form of his new roommate. "Hiya!," he beamed. The comment about being cute was a little unexpected but it definitely wasn't the first time someone had called him that. "I'm Erione. Nice to meet you Walt!" Eri returned the grin, but hesitated as his warm red eyes were drawn to Walt's massive outstretched paw.

"Uh, it might sound odd and I really don't mean to be rude but please don't squeeze too hard. I get uh.... broken easily and I don't want to scare you." That would be a terrible way to start things off- making his new roommate panic over a shattered Erione. His smile only wavered for a moment though and then he put his hand into Walt's paw anyway as he turned his gaze back up to the very tall bear's face.

Suddenly reminded of his sculpture project he glanced back over his shoulder. "Oh, don't mind the sculpture. I'll float it back into my bedroom so it's out of the way. I was just working on it while I waited to meet you." Whether or not Walt had a problem with the glass work in the dorm Eri was pretty sure the two of them were going to get along. They both seemed to be outgoing and friendly and at the very least they both wore pink well.
