Fabian's legs hung from the edge of the cliff as he moved them on the free air around him. He grinned. He might miss his home but he really liked the freedom and purity of the place. It seemed to be untouched by everything.

He smiled, trying to plan what to do before he was expected to be in class and trying to figure out how to meet more poeple. Fabian was some one who liked being social. He wasn't going to ruin the view with thoughts of school.

Ithen yawned as he approached the edge of the cliff, and surveyed the land in front of him. Not finding anything interesting he turned around, and followed the path he had taken with his gaze, only to find that no one was there.
He gave up and walked over to a small tree, laying down beside it. Without bothering to look for anyone else, he let his hair fall in front of his eyes, and tried to sleep.

A girl was slowly shuffling to the cliff, black eyes cast downward and a wistful look on her small face. She was muttering quietly in Latin, although it was hardly discernible to anyone but herself.
Her clothing seemed to contradict her attitude, a frilly pink skirt above faded blue jeans with too many rips to count, bracelets made out of the same material as the skirt crowding both wrists, along with more then a few brightly colored watches that all seemed to be pointing to different times.
Her amber hair was tied up in three ponytails spread around her head, although most of the hair had slipped through the frilly purple clasps and dropped down to sway gently around her shoulders with each step.
For a shirt, a too long purple tank top slid about on her tiny frame, bunching up when it reached the skirt, and neon pink high-tops completed the odd ensemble.

But despite the cheerful - albeit slightly unorthodox - outfit, the girl's face seemed to grow more solemn with every step, and by the time she'd reached the edge of the cliff she looked for a moment as if she would simply keep walking off into nothingness.
But, no, she stopped, dropping down on her haunches and grabbing two tiny handfuls of the small rocks that crowded the landscape; throwing them all off the edge and watching silently as they plummeted through the air.

She hadn't noticed the boy, but now her dull black eyes flickered over to where he was sitting and widened slightly, and she quickly looked away, wrapping her arms in a loose hug around her knees and dropping her head until her face was completely hidden. He'd leave her alone... Right?

Fabian noticed the boy near him and he moved his head to a side so he could get a better look as he was curious to what he was doing. The boy seemed comfortable though and Fabian decided to not bother him.

He turned to the girl and seemed to be concerned.
"I'm sorry if I interrupt but are you ok?"

Edward's head jerked up at the male's voice, and she glanced over at him to see who he was talking to. There wasn't anyone else around, was there? Her eyes settled on the boy in the tree, and she thought for a second that it was he the male was asking, but then she looked back at him and realized the words were meant for her.

Her shoulders lifted in a small shrug, and then she paused a moment and shook her head. "They told me I'm not to talk to not-people anymore, is all. They think I'm just making it all up in my head." She laughed, kicking her feet out over the edge and dropping them with a thunk against the stone wall of the cliff. "They don't believe me, so now I've got to see the counselor." Her nose wrinkled slightly in ridicule, and she smiled over at him.

She paused, head cocked to the side as if she'd just now realized she didn't know this person. "Who are you?"

"Not people? D'you mean ghosts?" He was curious. "Well you could always lie and say you're not talking to them yet still be if it's that important to you," he suggested.

He laughed lightly when she asked and appologized. "I'm sorry, I'm Fabian."

He glanced up at the sound of voices, and looked around for the source. Seeing a boy and girl sitting a ways off he shook his head. How long have I been asleep? Or were they here before... He looked down for a few moments, thinking about this. Then shrugged, and stood up.
Walking the little ways over to them he said, 'Hey there? I dont believe I've met either of you.' He sat down near them, resting his elbows on his knees and closing his eyes once again.

"Hey, I can't say I have. I'm Fabian," he introduced himself with a smile that was characteristic of him.
"This is... Uhm, I don't really know her name," he confessed.

She nodded, then shook her head. "Not really ghosts. Everything." She spread her hands out as if to include the entire world, still regarding him solemnly. "But that's a good idea. I'll tell the counselor that I'm not able to anymore."

"Fabian." She announced to no one, and when the sleeping boy came up a few seconds later she announced the same to him. "Don't you think Fabian is a nice name?"

A grin split her face at that - it was obvious it didn't take much to get her mind off her problems. "Edward Winters, it is." She announced to both of them, slinging her feet back up and turning around so her back was to the cliff. "Who are you, sleeping boy?"

"Now that's interesting," he pondered. Not-people. That could encompass anything yet he didn't pressure the topic since Edward seemed uncomfortable with it all.

Fabian's cheeks grew hot when she aksed the other boy if Fabian wasn't a nice name. "Why Thank you," he announced,"dnd it is nice meeting you Edward Winters."[/i[
