Hella let herself be gently dragged back down with Aura, putting up no resistance to being cuddled on top of what remained of the pillow fort and blankets. And why would she? It was soft and intimate and sweet, lying with her head on her girlfriend's shoulder.
What a weird word. Girlfriend. It made her heart flutter a bit just thinking it too intently. She couldn't even imagine saying it right now. "Then I guess it's a good thing I like being held like this," she said with a small smile as she looked more up at Aura's face. And looking at her gave Hella an idea, a thing that she'd been curious about for a bit but never found the right place to ask.
Lifting her hand ever so slightly from it's spot on Aura's stomach, he held it up for the other girl to see. "I um. Would it be okay for me to touch your face? You don't have to say yes, I just figured..."
That it wouldn't hurt to ask. But as she spoke the words, Hella realized that it might have, in fact, hurt to ask.
If Aura didn't mind Hella's hand would trail along her jaw, tracing the edge of her lips wit her thumb, then up along her nose to brush her hair out of the way. And then she'd caress the eldritch half of Aura's face as gently a she could, doing her best to not look away but also not to stare.
If Aura did mind, well Hella hoped that an apology and a promise not to ask again would be enough.
