Private Picking Up The Pieces.

By now, Michi was more on her toes with her time management so she couldn't possibly forget about meeting up with Lizzy. Of course, not without readjusting her schedule again to make time. Since she'd begun her magic studies, her sole focus had been her research and she wasn't going to quit on it, even if it meant she would have to pour all her free time to master it enough to free her friends from their curse. Though for now, she had to set it aside. She'd asked Lizzy to just have this conversation over phone, but the girl insisted to meet up since it was better to talk about it in person. Relenting, Michi resigned herself to meet up. She didn't exactly understand why Lizzy would want to meet up with her at the ballroom but questions would have taken more of her time. Right before leaving the dorm, she sent out a 'omw' text to LIzzy. In a little while, Michi would show up, probably a little less kept than her usual. Her hair was tied a sole bun, just because she didn't give herself more time to put it up to her signature look. "Liz? What's up?"

Michi flashed her friend a smile back. "I mean aside from running into each other at school? Def a while," she said with some humor. "Magic training is going well. My mentor and I just figured out how to get rid of a little hurdle so I'm expectng better research results," Michi said confidently, missing the other girl's motives at the moment. Lizzy showed off her hand and Michi, curious as ever, took her friends hand to inspect the ring. "Whoo, she has excellent tastes, this is gorgeous," she praised. Michi was familiar with accessories and while rings weren't her expertise, she knew not to ignore what looked good in her eyes. "And it's magic too??" Michi's interest was piqued and for one moment, it could have been great. That was until Lizzy brought up Rowan. A pang of guilt washed over her. Rowan had given her a little kitten for Christmas -- a very sweet kitten that kept her company. She couldn't leave the kitten on it's own, so whenever she left the house she had runes active to make sure the cat wasn't too bored. "Ah... Rowan got me a kitten. She's in my room right now with uh... magic kittensitter. I can't really bring her around too much yet since she's still kinda tiny and I don't wanna lose her on campus."

Michi tried her best to keep any more clues from showing on her expression. As much as possible, she would have preferred not to talk about it so for the mean time, she was going to go along with the conversation. "Ah yea, I saw that -- Sorry I'm not very chatty there. It just keeps slipping out of my mind," she said, giving out a meek laugh. "Honestly I haven't exactly named the kitten, but she's been responding to "Waffles" and "Donut" whenever I call her so it's probably gonna be either of those."
