"Maybe, you should reapproach them?" Natasha suggested, "You're not a child anymore. And whatever it is, you do have a right to know." she pointed out, "If it's bad, then to protect yourself and your sister," she stated gently.

"Not knowing sometimes is not a good thing. Ignorance can be bliss, but sometimes, that bliss can be broken by something not-so-pleasant, that shatters your world, and then dealing with that new reality can be hard," she explained, having dealt with a lot in her life, and having seen what not knowing about important things had done to others in her life. "Uncertainty can be worse than the truth," Natasha said sadly.

"Your right, but......sometimes I just wonder if it is worth it. As it stands now I can worry about her life and then go back to my day to day. The lack of information is whats been keeping me going. If I knew what happened to her then I'd be forced to tell my sister and that'd just open a whole new can of worms to deal with."

She let the thought stew for a while.

" I may give it a try. I'd have to discuss it with my sister first as it very much effects her as it does me, and she is younger so...emotions." She wondered how her sister would react to hearing the truth about her mother. She already knew that she personally would cry regardless of the information but the followup emotion would either be anger or worry. In hindsight inflicting pain on oneself-seemed like an illogical thing but it was a rather large mystery that just stained the corner of her life.

"I'll think on it. Enjoying the bliss for a few more days won't hurt me I hope...What about you? Any Kin that knows of your life now. I had a teacher whose mortal family has been keeping in touch with her for several generations now. It's sorta sweet how much she means to them."

Amara was told she had no more kin outside her sister and parents. Her father never spoke about her grandparents and her mother said that she had no parents. While of course, that couldn't be true she wasn't old enough to question it and was just fine in her family bubble. Maybe family drama had come back to haunt her mother? The thought had probably crossed her mind before but with age, the question got scarier.

Natasha understood and just nodded. Something like that, that affected both sisters in a big way, needed to be approached differently (and more delicately) than if it were just Amara herself that it affected.

"No, my family, kin, well ...they sent me away when I was a child, a human still, and after that, I never looked back, or decided I'd ever want to see them ever again." Natasha told her a little bit sadly, "Maybe I should have gone back at some point, but Russian peasants are, were, a suspicious lot, and they'd have probably tried to hunt me down or something," she admitted.

"I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe it was for the best that you didn't return right away." Amara never knew about that problem. Her kin were all vampires like her and she was born on the island. Having to hide day in and day out was just something she could fathom as her norm was seeing a giant walk down the street or a cat talking on a Bluetooth while in a Starbucks. It made her feel lucky every time she heard the war stories of immigrants who had lived for a long time.

" So have you been back to Russia at all, maybe your family lineage is still around, see what became of them." Amara hoped that maybe the idea of more family being out there would brighten the woman day a bit more. All this talk of family was making her want to find her sister and giver her a big hug despite whatever protests she would receive. It wasn't like her sister had the size or strength to stop her yet.

Lichy was noticeably complacent now as he just listened to the two women prattle on about family and mushy stuff. He was less concerned with Natasha's past as she wouldn't be the one feeding him tonight and he would probably never see her again with Amara's social skills. Though he did admire the sweet fragrance that surrounded her. It was better than the dorm.

"Thank you," Natasha said, grateful, "I do think it was for the best, my family really didn't have much love for me. I think... I was just another mouth to feed." she said with a small sad smile. "They were times of hardship and poverty... Not like today." Natasha said glancing around and thing how much things had changed over the centuries - and especially in the last few decades. Progress had come in leaps and bounds it seemed.

"I have been back to Russia - a few times actually," Natasha said with nod, "Though I did not go back and look for family. I doubt very much there is anyone left from my line, and I was never close to them either. My family were ... the people in the royal court, other nobles, if I am truthful. They cared for me more than my own family..." Natasha with a little smile. She thought about those days at court and realised now, that things hadn't been bad at all. There were many happy days and fun times.

"It was a different time, much different than now..." Natasha said her eyes straying to Lichy and smiling. "He is adorable, you know..." Nat said with a chuckle.

Amara looked over to Lichy who despite his best efforts was pretending not to notice his regal like way of laying down and looking at them. He was a show off through and through when he wanted to be and like any arrogant pet he enjoyed praise, especially from people who didn't feed and house him.

"He is just trying to swindle you for treats. He is as clever as he is cute so that's saying a lot." she giggled as she whistled for him to come over.

The royal wolf hopped off the bench and marched over hoping that his beauty had garnered him a treat from his mistress. Instead, all he got was a flick on the nose and some loving pets along his head as Amara laughed at his inner sadness. He was already formulating plans of how to get back when Amara's words drew his thoughts away.

"Would you like to get some Lunch, Natasha. You can tell me about the plants you were looking at earlier and I cant try my best not to tell you something wrong....and mayyyyybe I'll give you a treat." Her last words were aimed at the wolf who at this point was stubbornly acting as if he never wanted a treat in the first place, looking away from her and at a nearby squirrel.

As the two women began to walk off for lunch the prideful wolf would do what he always did and chase off ahead of them trying to scare the life out of any critter too small to put up a fight against him.
