Biography: Originally born Phoebe Rente, Phoenix is the youngest daughter of Virgil Rente, patriarch of a long established and powerful mage bloodline native to Manta Carlos. Her early years were filled with an overwhelming variety of magical studies since before she was even able to read. Phoenix had three significantly older siblings she looked up to almost as idols, each of them proficient in different areas of magic while she was struggling to produce even basic results. That difficulty persisted as she grew older, her father increasingly impatient that she showed no signs of improvement whatsoever, until he had finally had enough just after her tenth birthday. Expecting her power to manifest at the oldest by the time she was eight, Phoenix was declared a failure by Virgil, her indoctrinated siblings, as well as the extended family, and was officially disowned. After a fairly short waiting period while things were made official, Phoenix took well to the first foster family she was placed with, getting along reasonably with them despite a number of personal differences. However, even after being with them for several years, she made it clear she wasn't interested in being adopted, instead moving out on her eighteenth birthday, legally changing her name, and embracing a new life as independently as she could. Since then, she's become certified both as a masseuse and a yoga teacher, and has just started college to pursue music professionally.
