Chloe knew who Luco was supposed to be from the faculty section on the school's website. She also knew that he was a demon. A religious demon, the school's chaplain.
Chloe had a problem. One of her friends in the Demonic Student Union was being ostracized for being religious. It made some sense, with the kind of relationship many of these demons had with creatures that claimed to serve "the one true God." Chloe herself had been on the receiving end of that. At the same time, she didn't think it was right for anyone to get mocked or bullied for their religion. At the very least it wasn't a good look for their club. She had gone to so much trouble to make demonkind look more relatable and personable to the public; coming off as anti-christian wouldn't help.
She hoped that this "Luco" person would be able and willing to help her. She was worried that he would want to sabotage it. Risen demons could be really hit-or-miss in her experience, and she wanted to get a sense of where he stood before telling him anything pertinent.
Luco was supposed to be holding office hours now. She knocked on his door. She was still carrying around a heavy backpack. Tattoos with demonic symbolism were clearly visible past her short sleeves.
