"Of course, you will," Shay said matter factly. "It's not so hard once you get used to it. You just have to practice." Shay smiled at Tia, even though he couldn't see it. "And then one day you'll read big books with lots of words in them if that's what you want to do."
"Okee dokee shay!" He raised his head and looked at her then adjusted his hair he happened to mess up a few seconds ago. While fixing it he said "We can read another book if you want Miss Shay! Anything you want to do!"
"No, it's getting pretty late." Shay tried to gage the time from inside via the light coming through the windows. It seemed near sundown by now, which meant she'd have to get home. Where did Tia live again? "Do you need me to walk you home?"
