-School: Being as she’s a piglet, she can’t really wear human clothes without stumbling around awkwardly with them. So, she usually wears a ribbon around her neck tied in a big bouncy bow. It’s usually red or white in color, though if she’s feeling the school spirit it might be in the school’s navy blue and yellow. She also has a tiny backpack to carry her equally tiny books and typewriter.

Pearl can’t talk. She’s a pig. However, being a laboratory concoction, she’s remarkably intelligent. She’s got the mentality of a human 17 year old. She loves to read and tries to do so daily. While her inability to communicate poses a problem for social life, she hardly lets that stop her. Her body language and oinking make up for her lack of words. She’s very enthusiastic and upbeat, giving deep passion for the world around her. She seems to be invested in people around her, highly curious for what they’ve got going on. Sure, this can be interpreted as nosy or naive, but she tries to have the best intentions after all.
Being a pig, she’s naturally a bit sloppy and clumsy. But hey, she doesn’t have hands. With this in mind she attempts to be as mannerful as possible. She can’t do a lot with her puny body, but what she can’t do she makes up with her unwavering optimism. She’s a go-getter sort of piglet, and with new found intelligence, she’ determined to make the most out of her short life span.

An old sow named Bessie. She also had seven other brothers and sisters, but uh… You could find them in your local super market at this point.

There’s nothing cuter than the miniature version of otherwise large animals. For micropigs, this seems to be the case. On a pig farm in Scotland, the most fruitful sow, Bessie, was the subject of testing to make the perfect micro piglet. After many unsuccessful natural attempts, the farmers behind the test settled on the sad reality that the method may not garner the piglets they needed. So, many amounts of failed tests and litters later, the perfect piglet, Pearl had been made. She’d stay the same size forever and never grow up. Except…

Well, now she was smarter than all of them.

Now deemed as defective, Pearl was sent off to the slaughterhouse to get some use out for her. Fortunately for Pearl, her intelligence got her out of the brunt of trouble and got away from her certain doom. She did some street performances in order to garner money, but on one night managed to get snatched up. Her captor turned out to be a student at her future school, Starlight Academy.

Misc Information: Pearl doesn't seem to get phased by much, except with jabs in terms of being eaten by other people. She also doesn't care for pig related puns, but she will put up with them, provided the intent is good.
