Vinanye, after plenty of brainstorming, had decided to put on a Fae party by the school's lake. A perfect place for a Fae part -- open land, trees, and some water. The party involved plenty of dancing to music comprised of the flute, harp, and drums along with various Fae snacks and activities. It was as much a gathering about learning the culture of Underhill as it was promotional. A touch of home.
There were several long tables with blue and green designs that held treats shaped like flowers or other plant life. Most of them were made with a variety of herbs, fruits, and nectar. In the case of one treat, it was sliced up apples with a glaze of honey and rolled in the shape of blooming flowers with a thin crust.
Vinnie herself partook in all the dances, freely teaching others and answering any questions they had regarding recipes, dances, customs, or her position on numerous issues around the academy. The Gem was as welcoming as they came and she spoke to any new face she saw, just as eager to talk to someone new as she was to any best friend she may have had.

Sage waved to Vinnie as he approached, currently dressed for dance in his usual colors - pastels and greyscale. He approached Vinnie directly, a large smile across his face. "Hey, Vinnie! This party is awesome. It's so nice to see fae culture popping like this. Oh! And I almost forgot." Sage quickly grew a few flowers in his hand, their blooms large, colorful and exotic. He tied a ribbon around them and offered them to Vinnie. "They're just flowers, but I read they're popular in forest nymph cultures like what I assume mine is. Power-grown as well, so..." Sage trailed off, just offering positive vibes. What did you bring to a fae party? He wanted to learn more about his culture, but to do that, he'd have to not offend it first.
Vinanye grinned as Sage offered her the power-grown flowers and took them graciously, giving them a little sniff, as was polite. "Much gratitude, Sage! And yes, it was Milo's idea to have this, and I could not agree more! It reminds me of home."
When mentioned that nymphs tended to like nature, Vinnie nodded a few times, somewhat thoughtful. "Yes, I believe so, though wind sprites were more common where I was from. Either way, that are pretty, but you did not need to bring me a gift."
Vinnie reached behind herself and pulled out a treat. A forest green flaky pastry with sweet, honey-like nectar as a filling, and a light glaze. "Try this!"

"Of course~" Sage replied. "Milo? I don't believe I've met him yet."
Sage nodded as Vinnie spoke about nymphs. "I actually don't know much at all about faes. Didn't even know I was one until last year," he said, easygoing disposition covering up any reaction he may have had to that memory. He'd found out, but not in a... pleasant way, per se. No matter. He wasn't going to think of that right now. "What type are you?" he asked.
Sage blinked, then, at the suddenly offered pastry. He didn't know what it was, but it looked delicious, and it probably wasn't poisoned or anything. So, he took it, and upon tasting, his eyes widened in glee. "This is delicious! What is it?" he asked, savoring the flavor.

"He was the last student council president!" Vinanye chirped, proud of her friend. "But he is not running this time."
Vinnie giggled. "The Fae, or just Fae," she corrected gently, before being asked what type of Fae she was. "I am no type because I was a Gem brought to life by the magic of Underhill! But my mother, who was a Faery Queen, liked to say I was a Blue Bell, although I was not.
"Oh! Do you like it? We call them Burnt Cake. Made with wheat, apple glaze, and a filling of pudding icing. Then you bake it until golden brown."

Sage nodded at her description of Milo, before blushing lightly at his grammatical error. "Ahh, sorry. I'm still... new to all of this," he said. "And I see. That's actually... really cool. I've got a ton to learn about magic, it seems." Sage took another bite of the pastry, fighting the urge to groan at the taste. "I'm apparently a nymph-unicorn hybrid. It's pretty weird, but I'm not complaining."
He nodded again as Vinnie discussed the recipe for the burnt cake. "I see, I see," he said. "It sounds delicious. What other recipes are common in your culture?"

"It is okay! I have been considering making a Fae club to help people better understand the culture and let other Fae vent their problems and concerns. I know their secrets are not given away freely. I have not met many Unicorns! They seem to be rarer, perhaps?"
When asked about the treats for her culture, Vinnie pointed out some of the other foods on the table. "We primarily eat European foods. My mother mentioned Irish foods and British cuisine, but I think we were closer to Ireland.
"Does your family follow a particular culture?"

“I see!” Sage said, nodded excitedly. “A fae club sounds like a wonderful idea. I’ll join, definitely, if you found it. And I’ll help as well if you need anything!”
Listening to the subject of food, Sage shook his head. “No. Well, I don’t know. My adoptive parents aren’t very in touch with their culture, and I don’t know my birth family. No real interest in finding them. Ireland is cool though! I’ve always been interested in visiting.

"That is good; I think many of the half-Fae students would join. It is a problem I have noticed lately, that many wish to learn about their Fae roots but there is no safe environment to do so, and most Fae will not help with such an endeavor."
Vinnie paused, the grabbed a clipboard from the table to offer it to Sage. A sign-up sheet for the club. "If you would like, you may sign it now.
"And yes, my Mother tells me Ireland is a sight to behold, but I have never been, sadly."

Anna bounced into the clearing, a tiny little fluffy kitten. She transformed right in the middle of a group of people, giving them her cutest face.
"Hi everyone! I heard there was a campaign event here. It looks like so much fun!"
The little girl cartwheeled over to Vinanye and Sage, crashing into the latter. She giggled and righted herself, pulling Sage up if he fell, and turned to Vinanye with wide eyes full of curiosity.
"Hiiiiiii! I heard you were having a fairy party! Have you ever seen the tooth fairy? Does she dress like a princess? Are mermaids fairies too? Can you fly?"
