Malara pressed the tip of Heartbiter's blade into the palm of her hand as the car approached their destination. She let her blood flow down the blade, angry that her earlier engagement with the angels hadn't turned to bloodshed. She had had to stand there while they insulted her multiple times in front of the crowd. But it didn't matter. She was promising a real new start. People were receptive. From all over Mes, she could hear voices rallying to her. Now it was just a matte of waiting for them to arrive and start evacuating.

What she really needed to focus on right now was Jafar. Her soldiers had followed that girl, remaining unnoticed as best they could. They were certain they had found Jafar... in a suspected Paragons of Jawa compound. Well, confirmed now. Malara grimaced at the thought and put Heartbiter's blade entirely through her hand. All one of them had to do was take a swing or point a gun at her. Then it would be over for them.

She stepped out of the vehicle and walked through the open door into the smoke. Her hand was already knitting itself back together. She looked around at her soldiers, guns trained on the Paragons they had captured. Malara addressed these men and women without speaking, her voice issuing directly into their minds.

I am here for my husband, Jafar. Whichever one of you brings me to him gets to live.

It was all fun and dandy before today.

Aahla’s trip to the market was a disaster. She wasn’t able to get any food so someone else had to go do it….which was hard to do considering the fact of what was going on.
She knew she wasn’t the only one that heard Malara’s voice in her head the first time.

Everyone around her did. Which wasn’t good? It didn’t seem like it was good based off the way a few of the older Paragons were reacting. Aahla decided it was best to avoid telling them about her earlier encounter too.

Aahla wasn’t as paranoid as the adults right now though. She was more upset. More upset than Drake.

Then things happened. There was some commotion going on in the other rooms. Aahla tried to ignore it at first. She didn’t think nothing of it really. She was busy with something else the paragons told her to do since she managed to messed up getting food.

But of course she still managed to get caught and rounded up with the others who also weren’t lucky enough to get away and hide during the assault.

“Jafar?” Aahla made a face the name was familiar but she was sure none of the ‘prisoners’ was named Jafar.
Aahla wasn’t going to say that though. She didn’t want to anger Malara more than she probably already did. Still, Aahla did not want to die for these people. They could remain all silent and whatever following their Paragon codes but Aahla was surely not going to do that.

“I-I can take you to the cell rooms. There are a few people in there.”

Malara stared at the girl who spoke. She was the one who had thrown the apple. Well at least that made sense now.

Jafar. My husband. He is...

And Malara projected a mental image of Jafar into the girl's mind, based on her memories. Fine. Take me to the cells.

The whole hearing Malara's voice in her mind was very creepy to Aahla. It was already as weird as it was but it was even made weirder to Aahla when she got "Mind Texted" a image of Jafar.

Aahla froze up a bit.

"That's....Jafar?"
He looked a bit like Kiron if Aahla just ignored the tattoos, hair, and all the scarri- Oh no. Is that Kiron?

"Y-you mean Kiron?" And now Aahla felt even more panicky and now actually hesistant at taking Malara to the cells.

Show me then.
Mal had little patience at this point for people wasting time. She looked at Jackal, giving him a quick confirmation to stay here and keep an eye on the others. She then leveled her eyes on the girl and ordered her to move.

If you attack me, I don't care if you're a child. I will not hesitate to cut your fucking head off.

She left Ecstasy floating in the air, an immovable icon reminding everyone that she was here.

"Y-you'll cut my head off?" Oof.

In that instant Aahla started to visible start fidget and shake. "Like..mommi ..and popi..." She suddenly just fell to the floor and started crying. Aahla did not want to die like her parents, she didn't want to die at all.
Aahla started to just grovel at Malara's feet while she was crying.

"Please, I don't want to die! I just get food and feed everyone. I dun, I dun, I dun-" Aahla could not get out the rest of what she wanted to say because she started to hyperventilate reaaaaally bad.

Malara stared blankly at this girl, somehow surprised that she was apparently hyperventilating. Reaching down, she grabbed Aahla by the arm and lifted her up onto her feet.

"Please stop fucking crying. You're Prax, begging is beneath you."

At the same time, Mal crouched down so that she was eye level with the girl. She heaved a tired sigh and reminded herself she was dealing with a child. "I am sorry for scaring you. I am just very frustrated. You see, I'm here because these people..."

She gestured to the Paragons, "...they took my husband from me. I miss him a lot. And I had to leave my daughter to come here, even though she's sick. So... the faster you show me where he is, the faster I can get back to her."

Aahla flinched when Malara grabbed her which also caused her to start panicing more. Was this it?

She did started to slowly calm down when she realized she was not about to get her head cutt off...right now anyway. The more she listened the Malara, the more calmer she became.

"I miss...my parents."
Aahla rubbed the tears away from her eyes. "I don't like losing people. It hurts really bad on the inside....especially when you miss them a bunch."

"I don't want to lose Kiron either.....but if-" Aahla frowned. She was not sure how to word what she wanted to say and just decided to remain silent since she didn't want to cause Malara to be anymore upset.

So Aahla just lead Malara to the underground portion of the compound where all the prisoners cells where kept. There were a few other people held captive. Mostly for indoctrination which was pretty evident that was probably what this whole place was for.

"I just...feed them..." Aahla whispered to herself as she continue to lead Malara down the tunnel before finally stopping at a metal door.

"Kiron should be in here...he feels calm. The others might have already drugged him..."

Great she did her part. She would run now but she was still too scared to even do that.

Malara sighed heavily and followed behind the girl. "I don't like losing people either. That's why I'm here, you know. I'd do anything to keep the people I care about safe."
Was Malara empathizing with this girl? No, not really. She assumed that by the time she got Jafar and left, the Paragons would be dead and gone from her memory. This girl included. But she was starting to become familiar with that pit in her stomach. That 'hurt really bad on the inside' that Aahla talked about.

Mal stopped at the door, staring at it. Was this a trap? No, it couldn't be. A little girl wasn't smart enough to... then again, Dalia was probably this conniving. Still, if it was a trap Mal would just kill them all and burn the building down.

She grabbed the door handle and pushed it open. The girl had said this Kirone was drugged? What were these people doing here?

Aahla took a few steps back away from the door when Malara opened it. She didn't want to get in the way in fear of being hit...or getting her head cut off. She also would only enter the room when Malara did.

And there he was, just sitting on the floor. It would most likely be hard to tell it was him since his back was facing the door and all the messy long light grey hair. What Malara could also see was that he was sporting a bunch of new tattoos. Cool right?

Jafar didn't move at all though. There was actually indication he probably haven't moved in a while since a tray of un eaten fruit was still on the floor beside him.

He was staring at the wall in front of him which was covered in writting....with blood? Well it looked like blood.

The writting seemed random at first.

On the first wall; There was multiple tally marks. They covered the top half of the wall but there was only fifteen in total. Tge rest of that wall was covered in random ritualistic markings. There was also a few liars thrown in there. This could be seen on all the other walls as well. The only other wall that had any other sort of variation was the one Jafar was staring at. The first few letters for Forgive in oleti was partly visible as the rest of the word was somewhat wiped away. In it's place was "Rehva'se Jawa, Kubi T'lm horom". Rough translation: Basically asking Jawa to spare death. Basically.
