They'd managed to arrive at the house before Raf, waiting in the living room for him to arrive the cat girl would glance around nervously. "I....hope he's not angry," she honestly wasn't sure how he took the news, or how he was going to react.

She'd lean back on her heels a little and take a big calming breath. "He should be hear soon," her cat tail would twitch nervously, she didn't know what to expect. @Zora

Rafael had received the rather disturbing call from Dr Wolfstein regarding Shiro when he was still at his office, and in an important meeting that he had to reschedule in the end.

Arriving home an hour later, he noticed Celeste's car in his driveway and just scowled. Rafael was not happy at finding out Shiro was a vampire. In fact, he was borderline furious - and he was not sure at who... the person that bit Shiro, or Shiro for hanging out with dubious company - or both.

"Shiro," Rafael said very coolly, and in greeting, when he saw the young girl, his gaze flickering to Celeste for a split second. "Daughter," he acknowledged with a curt nod.

Anger, all she saw was anger, and he said daughter, not daughters, calling Shiro by her name. Immediately Shiro's cat ears would go down, she didn't pick up any parental concern coming from him, only anger. "H-hey....," she'd say, clearing her throat, unsure what to say.

"The uh....the doctor called you?" she'd ask, knowing that they had. She could tell this wasn't going to end well.

"The doctor did indeed call me," Rafael said as he removed his suit jacket, placing it on the back of a chair.

"Dr Wolfstein informed me that you were becoming a vampire," he stated impassively. "Would you like to explain to me exactly how that happened?" he asked as he peered at Shiro, his gaze fixed on her like a hawk.

"I.......I don't know," she'd tell him honestly. "I don't know how it happened," she was trying to stay calm, not panic. "I-I didn't think a backeneko would be able to be turned," she'd say, taking a shaky breath.

Her cat tail would twitch nervously, and she'd make it vanish and she'd take another breath. "I.....w-what do we do?"

"Vampirism is not exclusive to only humans," Rafael said at the bakeneko comment.

"And one does not just turn into a vampire just because..." Rafael pointed out, not fully believing Shiro and not so easily dissuaded from his purpose. "It's not a thing you "just catch"," he continued, very aware that vampirism wasn't contagious like the common cold or the flu, or any other air-borne diseases.

"Surely, you had contact with a vampire," he reiterated.

"I haven't," she'd say, "not like that....not in a long time...I wouldn't let one feed on me...or take their blood." She wouldn't and didn't, not since ex, that had been a horrible experience, she'd never give blood since then.

The girl would take a breath. "You don't believe me do you?" she'd ask, looking up a him.

"No. No, I don't," Rafael stated very honestly. "I have been around for more than 400 years, and I don't know any case of somebody just magically turning into a vampire without there being a reason for it," he explained matter-of-factly.

"You are my responsibility, and as your parent, I am calling the police. I do not like the fact you are obviously covering for somebody. Turning a minor into a vampire is illegal, and I do not care if you are covering for a friend or not," he said as he got up and headed to the phone.

"No one turned me! I wasn't bitten and I didn't drink anyone's blood!" she wasn't yelling, but she was trying to convince him that she was indeed telling the truth. "I wouldn't let a vampire bite me.....let alone give me their blood," she actually had a look of disgust at the thought of it.

"I don't know what's causing this......but it isn't that," the cat girl would continue getting more upset at the conversation continued.

"I.....I have reasons....but I definitely wouldn't let a vampire do this to me."

"Fine," Rafael said very coolly, unmoved by Shiro's words. "I will be calling the police then," he stated as he looked at Shiro. "You can explain everything to them then since you refuse to be honest with me."

And with that Rafael left the room, and made his way to his office where he closed the door with a quiet firmness.
