Not just a manager, but head of the HR department? Juliet's eyes briefly shot up before she managed to get herself back under control. She'd known there were mutliple positions open, but she hadn't even really considered the headposition. She'd assumed she would automatically lose it to someone who was three hundred years old and had more experience than years Juliet would live in her life.
But she hadn't.
"It'll remain clean," Juliet said, doing her best to be reassuring. "And I don't plan to do anything else messy."
She never did.
Juliet covered her own basics. What was the work environment like. What was the payment. She was wary of haggling, and the money offered was fair enough as it was. It was a good job, and good pay, and she wasn't going to argue, so she finished her usual routine, gave Haru's hand a good firm shake, and then saw herself out.
She didn't remember how to breath properly until she was out of the building, her interview over, and the job offer in hand.
