She couldn't see the label from where she was sitting, but she didn't hesitate in taking a scoop with her own spoon. Not prepared for the initial sour taste, she made a face, but this turned to surprise as she recognised the flavour, having tasted it as a drink. "It's less watered down than the drink." Elisa noted.
Other than that, she had to agree with Belladonna. Elisa had at first tasted lemon, but then sugar had appeared, soothing it. "It's a weird one, but the tang at first makes it interesting."
She picked up the next flavour, a white icecream with red swirls labelled "Raspberry Ripple". "How about this one next?"
"Mhm. It definitely is more concentrated," she added to Elisa's comment.
Seeing the new flavor Elisa picked out, Belladonna readied her spoon and took a portion from the sample and gave it a taste once Elisa was ready to taste it as well. She analyzed the taste and it was somewhat familiar. "It has some sourness still, but its flavor overall reminds me of grapes."
"Like grapes?" As she thought about it, it made sense. It had that tart tingle to it. Not sour, but not really sweet either. "It's a mixture of two flavours, Vanilla and Raspberry, and its easy to tell them apart."
"You are right, there is a strong presence of vanilla in this." She didn't think to add vanilla in her description. It melded together in her tongue, making the new combination which she initially only focused on the raspberry part.
"Which one do you want to try next?" she asked, looking a little eager.
Going over the flavours, she looked at Belladonna. "It should be your turn now. What do you think we should try?" She was glad she was enjoying herself.
Elisa was glad she tried this, instead of just a single flavour, and couldn't hide her small grin behind her spoon.
Looking over the other flavors, Belladonna ran a simple randomizer to select the next flavor. Which was a strange little flavor named after bubblegum. Did that not have different flavors? She took a scoop of the blue-colored ice cream.
"This one? Bubblegum. Will you be able to blow bubbles with this?" she asked as she took her taste. It was still sweet, but she couldn't put into words what it tasted like. Though she was disappointed that the ice cream melted and didn't produce any bubbles.
Interestingly, Elisa didn't find the bubblegum flavor to her liking. She would have to take note of that and analyze the details later, cross it with anything else she might not like. "So you do not like that flavor? Can you tell me why? I would like to know."
"I just don't like the way it sits in my mouth," ELisa said, gesturing to the container. "It's not bad, and you might disagree, but its not a taste that I'll really try again."
There really wasn't anything wrong with it, she just didn't like the taste.
"So you find it unpleasant. I understand. People have many preferences with their dietary consumption." She'll have to ask her mother if she liked bubblegum-flavored ice cream. Belladonna herself didn't know if she liked it or not. It was just a different flavor to her.
"So, which one should we sample next?"
