Tellios woke up a little early to get a head start on the day. Making something for breakfast for his girlfriend Pollyanna. Slowly sitting up as he grasped his head. He felt it pound for it. Like a ringing was in his head. Shaking it off as his systems rebooted for the day. Looking around at the room. Then at the beautiful bat girl beside him. Leaning down and kissing the top of her head between her ears as he moved to get off the bed. Sitting on the edge as the robot stood up. Rolling each of his shoulders as he took a few steps out of the room. Keeping the room light off to let Pollyanna sleep a bit as he turned on the TV in the kitchen. It was small enough to watch while someone was working in the kitchen.

He hummed a tune to himself as he started to make waffles. Starting to mix the batter up as he watched the TV. Watching the news as he saw flor. The news anchor giving the morning news.
A lot of it seemed normal. The island is safe. A few attempted robberies. Someone never showed up to an awards ceremony in his honor. Some of the usual things but eventually an alert came up as Flor began to talk about a magical tsunami. He blinked and looked at the TV. His eyes narrowed as he tried to calibrate his sensors to pick up mundane activities that could show the tsunami. But nothing. Even as a helicopter showed the tsunami on its way he looked over at Pollyanna as he put the batter down on the counter and went into their room. Sitting on the edge of the bed as he slowly shook Pollyanna.

"Darling..? Wake up. We.. have a problem." he said softly with a slight bit of panic in his voice. Trying to find out what to do. The tsunami was only a few hours away and he wasn't sure on what to do. Evacuation notices were put up everywhere. Like the school, work places and shelters were opened up. But.. Tellios wasn't sure they would hold.

"I think we need to leave. A.. rather large tsunami is about to hit the island."

He said. Packing a few things inside his messenger bag while on the edge of the bed. Trying to make sense of it all. Trying just to find out what to do. He knew pollyanna could escape.. but what about him? Or could they ask Octain for help..? If they could get to their house in time...

All had gone peaceful within these past few months. A lazy winter it was, and had it not been for school, Pollyanna would have hibernated. Still, she had spent a lot of her days just eating and sleeping, which had taken a bit of its toll on her physique. But, she had her Tellios, and as long as he loved her the way she was, she couldn't be more comfortable just being her.

Spring was just around the corner though, so Polly had recently taken the initiative to become more active. Her metabolism seemed to burn up more when she was in her bat form, so she tended to stay that way a lot more. Besides... Even if she didn't necessarily want to be in this form, it seemed like recently she didn't have much of a choice...

Her health and grip of humanity being in steady decline was a fact she hid from Tellios now. After the incident... Well, she didn't have the heart to tell him that she was getting worse. She kept it from him that she was occasionally getting stuck in her bat form. Rather, she assured him that she was on purpose. Today was no different.
Fortunately, that seemed like a decision made for the better right now.
Her ears twitched when he kissed the top of her head. Still asleep, yet slightly stirred by the motion. It wasn't until he actively shook her that she would truly wake. Her brown eyes blinked open, and a soft yawn came out of her muzzle. She sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes with the back of her handpaw. All in attempts to focus on her cherished partner.

"Telli...? What's... What's wrong...?" She asked hazily. Her brain still a bit fuzzy in trying to process everything. But the moment he uttered the word 'tsunami', Pollyanna instantly snapped into full focus. "L-leave...? Tsunami?" Her ears flattened in fear, her tail moving to tuck in between her legs as she stood. It was so much to think about. Their dorm... It could very well be destroyed. Everything she had grown to love be decimated. Everything... "This is... Awful... Tellios all the students... Our theater... I..." No. Now wasn't the time to think about that right now. The students would be okay, there were shelters around right...? Yes. She was sure of it. Right now her instinct screamed 'fight or flight'. And right now, it was time to fly.

"Oh Telli..." She whimpered softly before moving to hug him tightly. Her arms squeezing his torso a bit before she looked up at him. "I..." Suddenly, she stopped speaking. Her ear raised and twitched as she heard the wind whistling outside the window she kept open. A moist breeze filled the room, which led Polly to turn and face it. Slowly, as if in a trance, she approached the window. Her little pink nose sniffling the air once she arrived.

"It's close... Really close..." It made her fur stand up on end. She was part animal, so she was naturally inclined to sense meteorological changes. "We don't have time to book a flight... Or sail out of here... Telli, I could.... Fly us out... But..." She gestured towards him. Her eyes full of fear, her muzzle trembling. "I don't think I'm strong enough..."

To say Tellios was shaken by the news he gave Pollyanna was the least of his worries. He was more worried about Pollyanna than anything. She was everything to him. Tellios being a robot shared emotions more than anything, she was the one who gave him a soul. Who made it come out. Who gave him a gift that no others could.

A chance.

"Yeah a Tsunami.. The Dorms.. Everything might survive.. I don't know for how long. it may take a long time renovate but." He said. Looking out the window for a moment. His eyes widening at the thought of the others. His friends and those who he called family. Though his priority would be Polly. The only girl he loved. "I know.. Our little place of heaven might get ruined.. but I will be able to salvage it.. I still own that land.. I can rebuild it. We can.. To leave our mark on this island."

He held her tight. "It's going to be okay.. We'll find a way out of this together.." he whispered. Rubbing her back a bit to try and ease her worries.

Even if he knew something was going on with Polly. Something didn't seem right. Though he didn't want to push the issue. Or even ask when their very lives were on the line. When she got to the window.

he heard her voice. Go higher like she did when she had a great idea then sink downwards. His expression came to life. "Really!? You can?" he spoke before holding her hands. Kissing the tip of her muzzle. "I know you can do it.. I'm heavy right now but.. If I were my nanites.. You could put all of me and pudding inside of a backpack to carry us easier." He said Looking around for something that might work. Trying to figure out what to do at this point. There wasn't much time. He had no time to prepare.

"This.. Doesn't seem natural. I heard that there could be some kind of magic at work here. I hope that HE didn't cause this.." Tellios said. Looking around still Trying to find backpack or something that could fit him. Some of his and her bags were too small. He needed something that could encase something like the size of a pillow.

He sat on the edge of the bed.

"Even if you can't carry me.. I want you to be the one who escapes my love. Your life is more important."

He said lightly. Her ears could pick it up but Tellios was just out of options. He needed all of them to assume this form. Even if he could eat and make more as he went with their drip. He needed to be strong for Pollyanna.

Then something hit him. Like a pillow fight. Before looking at a Pillow case.

".. That.. Might work.."

Everything was coming crashing down. The life she built, teh life they built, and everythig they cherished… It was to be obliterated within the next day or so. It was terrifying to think that all they loved would go down in a massive wave- and they were absolutely powerless to it.

"N-no... " Pollyanna whimpered as her ears drooped. Her eyes became glassy as she held back her sense of dread. She couldn’t believe this was happening, or that nobody could do anything about it. There were so many amazing people here with amazing powers, so why couldn’t anyone stop this? Of course, it was obvious this sort of power was beyond unnatural. But what kind of monster would cause this? Polly couldn’t even fathom who would. This… This could potentially ruin so many people’s lives. Or just outright end them.
Polly swallowed the lump in her throat and restrained her tears. Stay positive, she reminded herself. She had to stay optimistic. For Tellios, and herself. They can rebuild. Life wasn’t over for them. "Y-yea… We.. We can rebuild." For now though, they had to escape.

Her idea seemed to be met with positive reception. Her ears perked up when he announced his approval, only to flutter lightly in the wind blowing from the open window. The breeze could carry her wings sure, but what about ehr robotic boyfriend? Were they strong enough to carry solid metal? His nanites.. Of course! But how would she carry them? She needed to bring some supplies with her when they left. She couldn’t fit both her boyfriend and necessities in one bookbag. Before she could speak up on this concern though, Tellios mentioned her leaving him behind. And of course, Polly wasn’t going to let that comment slide.

”No, Tellios." She turned back around, her eyes still glossy from before. "I’m not gonna leave you behind. I need you. I really do. I’m not going to abandon you over this. You’re too important to me for that." Her voice was uncharacteristically firm and assertive, just to convey the serious nature behind her words. She wasn’t going to lose him. That much was a promise. But she was running out of options. It was too late to rely on public transport to leave, so how could they..

Wait.

They both looked at the pillowcase. Polly approached it swiftly and turned it upside down to shake out the pillow. Left with the stretchy fabric encasing, durable yet lenient. "Are you thinking..?" She then looked over to her backpack. Before bolting over to it entirely. Rushing to pack it, darting from her dresser, to his, to the bathroom. Finally, stopping before him. "I’ll back all of the things we need in this backpack. And you can… Well.." She smiled sheepishly. "Let me carry you… In here..."
