The boy awoke with sand in his eyes and crashing noises around him.

Moving to his feet, he looked around. His vision was blurry, but he could see that he was on a beach. How did he get here?

Looking down, he was wearing a bright orange jumpsuit, with thick black Letters spelling "EL-I"

"Eli? Is my name Eli?" The Boy asked no one in particular.

Nyota basked in the sun, her tanned skin soaking in the radiation as she laid sprawled out on the warm sands in nothing but a Star Fleet inspired blue bikini. While working on her tan, she stares at the sun high above, her glowing eyes that shine with the intensity of the sun above. While staring at the sun like she is doing is not recommended for most people, she can marvel at its radiant beauty even since she consumed that sun god. There was something marvelous about that burning ball of gas... part of her longed to return to sun even though she had never personally stepped foot on the sun. Something about those inherited memories that screw with her mind she could only assume. Still she could stare at it all day... that is until some sand blew right into her eyes.

"Gack! Fricking sand." growled Nyota, sitting up to rub her eyes. Once she set her hands down, it was only know that she noticed a boy in an orange jumpsuit laying there by the water's edge. Thats... rather curious so she stood up and walked towards him. As she looked around, she didn't notice any other beach goers nearby so it seemed that it was up to her to see if he was okey. But judging by his attire... he looked to an escaped convict but from where? Was he just some unlucky joe washed ashore from some daring prison escape? A dangerous psychopath in need of incarceration? Someone who just has terrible taste in swimwear? He could be dead for all she knew... would they close down the beach if that was the case?

Just as walked up behind the boy, he shot up to his feet which surprised her as she was half convinced he was corpse the closer and closer she got to him. He seem disoriented though, and maybe has amnesia? Boy, this seems like the start of bad survival/mystery show and now she was going to have to play the role of the welcoming committee.

"I dunno... you tell me Eli." quipped Nyota, just behind Eli before letting out a sigh "Well at least you seem to be alive... I was convinced you were dead until you sprung up like a daisy."

The girl startled him, not expecting to hear another voice. He quickly turned, kicking up sand as he did so. "Um, Hello."

She called him Eli, so it must be his name. "Where am I?" Eli asked. Excepting his identity, which he doubted she knew, that seemed the most appropriate thing to ask.

Maybe it was the way she was dressed, but she didn't seem right to him like she didn't fit what he would expect her to look like. Whatever it was, Eli couldn't identify it.

"On a beach dork." snided Nyota. It was only after stating the obvious that it occurred to her that may have been looking for more definitive so she added onto her previous comment. "Oh wait... err... Mantra Carlos I think the name is? Its secretive magical island or something. Its a wonder that you somehow ended up here though..."

Now that Eli (or whatever his name is suppose to be) had turned around, she couldn't help but be impressed by the gash on his forehead. While it may have looked like a nasty cut, the injury was probably not as bed as it appeared since that he was still walking. Still, it was probably that head injury that has left him so disorientated.

"Heh... you look like took quite a blow to head so I guess that is why you cant seem to recall where you are now." piped Nyota, her eyes now drawn to the his orange jumpsuit. As her eyes lingered, it only brought up more questions in mind. She figured she might as well just be blunt and ask him if he remembers why he was in such suspicious clothing.

"So..." points to his orange jumpsuit "... anything that I need to worry about you? Cause you are dressed like an escaped convict fresh from prison."

((Apologies for not responding in a timely manner. Unexpectedly been seeing friends the entire weekend))

"Manta Carlos?" It was a weird name. "And it's a secret Magical Island. Is that even possible?" He wondered.

Having been notified, Eli touched the cut on his forehead and pulled his hand away. I was covered in a diluted mixture of Blood and seawater. Is this why he couldn't remember anything?

His clothing seemed to be another questionable subject. Trying to think again, he felt pain but had glimpses of something. "I think, we had to wear it, in order to not be confused with others." He said slowly, unsure. Who these "others" were, he didn't know.

((It's okay, I had to do things as well, so I probably would have answered late as well))

Probably was a bit much out of her to expect him to remember why it was he was in an orange jumpsuit. He was at least able to recall that he wore it to not be confused with the others but who exactly were these others? Prisoners? Guards? Super secret government lab agents? It was a plot right out of a DC comic book. And what made it necessary that he had to be dressed differently than these others he spoke of? Something special about him? Or maybe dangerous? Not like he would remember the reason for that anyway at the moment... right? Perhaps she should ask... he could be normal dude for all she knew but if there was something special about him then it was fortuitous that he washed ashore here of all places.

"Uh huh...that doesn't quite help but whatever. So anything special about yourself as far as you can recall or are you just some dork in an orange onesie? Some sort of dangerous superpower or ability that you are capable of?" probed Nyota, resting her hand on her hip and give Eli a stern expression. Since she bothered to walk this far she might as well interrogate him on what little he may remember.

"I do not know, okay?" He said louder than before. "I can not remember anything from before just now." Trying to remember sent pain running through his brain, something which he was trying to avoid. Eli lowered his voice to what it was before. "What's a onesie?" He said, trying to change the subject.

It bothered him, that he wore the jumpsuit in order to be separated. What was "it that made it necessary, who was separating him? Did he have a dangerous power, like she said? Wait.... "What do you mean powers?"

"Hey, you don't need to raise your voice like that. Just trying to fricking help you... Jesus." barked Nyota, a little irritated how Eli just seemed to have gotten a little mad at her for no reason... or at least that is how she interpret it. She grumbled and sighed before speaking once again. "You really don't know what a onesie is? Crap... you REALLY don't remember much. Well think of a one piece set of clothing like pajama or... what your wearing right now."

Did he really need to ask her about what powers were? She thought it was obvious what she meant by powers but clearly that was not the case. Perhaps she should demonstrate? "Oh... you know... some sort of special ability that you can do? Like... telekinesis or super strength or the ability to breath fire? Many people are sent to this island here or move here on their own accord so that they don't have to worry about discrimination for their abilities or whatever magical species they are." Nyota then extends her arm, her palm facing the sky as she stares stright into Eli's eyes with a serious expression. "Here, let me show you what I am talking about."

As she held out her hand, Eli would be able to observe the faint glow of gasses coalescing. These gases glow brighter and become more compressed until suddenly it suddenly collapsed onto itself into a radiant firely orb. It would as if she was holding a miniaturized in her hand, the heat it radiated was like standing at the edge of large fire and the light it emits was too blinding to look at directly.

"Pretty cool right? Now only do I have glowing eyes but I can also make my own personal tiny stars. This is what I meant by powers." smirked Nyota, commanding the basketball sized star forward to Eli. Before the orb could reach him, Nyota clutched her hand into a fist and the star extinguishes into nothing. "So... now that you know what I mean, do you have any neato powers yourself?"

(is this still open, would Pallas even reply? Let's find out on this episode of Antique Roadshow)

Was he wearing a onesie? What a weird thing. It made sense, though. It was one piece of clothing covering his entire body. "That is strange."

Eli stared at the girl's hand. Was she giving him something? As he continued looking, he saw the area around it become fuzzy, then he was blinded by a bright light. Blinking and rubbing his eyes, he asked, "What is that?"

So powers are special abilities? Oddly enough, he knew he could do something like that. But it wasn't as clear as what the girl did. But what was it? "I think I do, but I don't know what." He confessed after some time.
