Were-Shifter
Defined as anything that shifts between a humanoid shape and an animal one. Uses the "species: were-shifter" tag. Players should clearly indicate what specific animal they're shifting between.

Template Zero: Custom Creation

Full custom, no template required, write what you want!

Template One: Simple Shifter

The most basic kind of shifters.

Cost: 0
= Human Shape: This character has a human shape that they can shapeshift into at will.
+ 1 Enhanced Sense: This character gets one enhanced sense depending on their animal, which is twice as powerful as their human equivalent. A dog shifter might have an enhanced sense of smell, while a hawk shifter might have an enhanced sense of eyesight. Please specify which sense is affected.
= [Optional] Animal Characteristic(s): This character can freely have physical differences in their human form which reflect their animal form. These provide no tangible bonus (cat ears, goat eyes, etc).

Template Two: Traditional Were-shifter

Closely modeled after traditional werewolves. However, they absolutely do not need to be an actual werewolf. You could have a were-whatever. Made and not born.

Cost: 1
= Human Shape: This character has a human shape that they can shapeshift into at will.
- Lunar Phases: During the night of a full moon, this character loses their ability to control their shifts. They shift into their animal form and are animalistic in nature, lacking their normal human sentience.
= Semi-Immortality: This character stops aging before they hit thirty. They can die normally.
++ 2 Supernatural Senses: This character gets two supernatural senses depending on their animal, which is five times as powerful as their human equivalent. A dog shifter might have an enhanced sense of smell, while a hawk shifter might have an enhanced sense of eyesight. Please specify which sense is affected.
+ Regenerative Healing: This character regenerations from attacks. Small cuts heal instantaneously, and major wounds heal within an hour so long as they aren't running around and straining themselves. This character can heal from nearly anything so long as they stop and give themselves time to actually close the wound rather than straining their body. They can't reform torn off limbs.
= [Optional] Animal Characteristic(s): This character can freely have physical differences in their human form which reflect their animal form. These provide no tangible bonus (cat ears, goat eyes, etc).
+ Infectious Bite: This character can change a human into a werewolf with a bite. The infection rarely takes but has a higher chance the more wounded the victim. Characters who catch this infection come down with an intense flu and change over the course of a week. This can only be done in this character's animal form.
- Silver: Were-shifters are both weakened and repelled by silver. It burns them when cut with it and acts as a poison. Wounds inflicted with silver heal at a human rate.

Template Three: Born Were-Shifter

Born shifters rather than made ones.

Cost: 1
= Human Shape: This character has a human shape that they can shapeshift into at will.
- Silver: Were-shifters are both weakened and repelled by silver. It burns them when cut with it and acts as a poison. Wounds inflicted with silver heal at a human rate.
- Aconitum: Commonly know as wolfsbane or monkshood, this plant is like poison for this character. Injection or ingestion of this substance affects their body rather strangely, stopping them from shifting and putting them in excruciating pain.

Ghost
Any kind of disembodied undead fall under the category of ghost.

Template Zero: Custom Creation

Full custom, no template required, write what you want!

Template One: Poltergeist

The classic haunting ghost, these spirits tend to be pranksterish in nature, though these pranks can turn deadly.

Cost: 0
+ Intangibility: Ghosts, being non-physical entities, are impossible to harm with mundane physical objects or environmental effects. Likewise they can pass through solid barriers as if they did not exist.
= Invisibility: Poltergeists specifically usually have no physical appearance, and are merely a presence to be felt and noticed by the actions they take on the world around them. They cannot be seen by those who cannot see spirits.
+ Telekinesis: A Poltergeist can lift and manipulate objects of roughly the same size and weight that a human could, though they are capable of doing this with more than one object at a time and possibly throwing said objects harder than the average human.

Template Two: Revenant

These vengeful spirits roam the Earth because they have unfinished business. Perhaps they were murdered and seek out the one who killed them. Or maybe they seek vengeance for a loved one. Whatever the cause, these spirits cannot rest until their business is done.

Cost: 0
- Ghastly Form: When agitated the Revenant takes a monstrous form related to the nature of their unfinished business. This alerts everyone who can see them of their true nature. Being near the object of their ire always puts them in an agitated state.
= Intangible: Becomes intangible at night, as they "die" again. While intangible, they can only physically interact with the object of their ire.
+ Diehard: Even when attacked in a manner that could kill them, the Revenant will respawn at the next sunset completely intact. This will occur until their unfinished business is done or they are forced to move on in some other way.
+ Supernatural Strength: These Revenants have inhuman level strength. They can surpass the limit of what a professional athlete can do with ease and are noticeably supernatural when pushing themselves.
- Singleminded Rage: When in the presence of the object of their ire, a Revenant becomes singlemindedly enraged and will ignore all other stimuli but the target in front of them.

Undead
Any kind of Undead that doesn't include vampires. Uses the "species: undead" tag.

Template Zero: Custom Creation

Full custom, no template required, write what you want!

Template One: Simple Zombie

A template for a simple zombie. This is a mixture of several zombie concepts.

Cost: 0
= Semi-Immortality: This character has stopped aging.
+/- Self-Sustenance: This character doesn't need to eat, sleep, or breathe. Being undead means all the things they used to have to do to keep themselves in good health is no longer an issue. As a flipside to this ability, anything they do eat or drink needs to be regurgitated up as they have no digestive system. They no longer have a sense of taste.
+ Enhanced Immunity: This character cannot be poisoned, contaminated, or become diseased in any naturally occurring way. Their body doesn't function normally, and so each of these things is ineffective against them unless they're magical and meant specifically to harm the undead. Alcohol does not work on them nor do any drugs.
+ Supernatural Durability: This character can take a greater beating than their physical body would let on. Vital organs can be pierced, limbs can be taken off, and they can even be beheaded without dying or bleeding out. When their limbs are detached from their body, they wiggle uselessly but cannot act on their own. The same is true for their body when beheaded.
+ Pain Suppression: This character has a reduced sense of pain. Most things that would be excruciating to a human are a dull sense to them. Because of this, they can handle nearly any type of physical trauma without being put down. While their body may still fall apart normally, they are not put out by pain alone.
- Unable to Heal Naturally: Being undead means this character does not heal from wounds they are given. They must patch themselves up manually when any physical trauma occurs to their body. Healing magic does not work on them. The brain cannot be repaired, even if other parts can be replaced entirely by a skilled necromancer

Template Two: Ghoul

A template for a Ghoul that is based off a few bits of random lore.

Cost: 1
= Decelerated Aging: This character lives five times longer than a human, though they physically and mentally mature at the same rate.
- Flesh Eater: This character must consume humanoid meat. In any other place you would merely say they had a craving for human flesh, but truthfully they can sustain themselves on any sentient creature with at least a human level of intelligence. When around people who are bleeding or otherwise noticeably wounded, their craving and predatory instincts are at an all-time high.
++ 2 Supernatural Abilities: This character has two inhuman level abilities such as agility, durability, strength, stamina, or speed. They can surpass the limit of what a professional athlete can do with ease and are noticeably supernatural when pushing themselves.
- Nocturnal: This character is most energetic at night. No matter how rested they are, this character is always sluggish and out of it throughout the day. They're unfocused, and it's all too easy to doze off. At night, no matter how tired they feel, they can't sleep. There's no way around it; they're a creature of darkness and the night.
+ Disease Immunity: This character is immune to diseases of all types, natural and unnatural.

Template Three: Draugr

A water-downed Draugr template.

Cost: 1
= Semi-Immortality: This character has stopped aging.
+ Supernatural Strength: Capable of lifting five tons without breaking a sweat.
- Fire Weakness: This character is repelled by fire. They cannot stand to be around even a campfire, and when burned, their skin falls away like paper, and they turn to ash.
+ Size Manipulation: This character can increase their size and weight ten times what they usually are, making them a nearly unmovable force. The large they grow, the slower they get.
+ Enhanced Durability: This character isn't slowed down by most attacks and can tank physical damage better than their physical body would let on. They haven't quite reached supernatural levels yet, but they're only just human in this ability.
+ Intangible Form: This character can become an ethereal cloud of black mist for ten seconds with a one-minute cool down. This allows them to pass through walls and other solid constructs.
