Kotah had set his painted circular board on the tree, hooking it with one of his acupuncture needles. His face was void of most expression at the time, just wanting to get some work done. Stepping back a few feet, he eyed the height; he walked back about 10 feet from it, satisfied. Popping his pouch open with his right hand, he reached in and grabbed one. Between index and thumb, he launched it from his hand, tagging the edge of the board. In a frown, he kept at his attempts, most of them hitting the edge while others missed the tree entirely.

After a couple hours, he leaned against another tree, glistening with sweat, needles covering the board, tree, and ground. He was getting better, having moved into the next couple rings, but still wasn't happy. He began to round them up again for another go.

After another couple hours he sat down under a tree, holding his arm. Thankfully, what hadn't bounced off of the board was stuck in it. He looked up through the canopy, judging dusk was coming soon. He looked at the board, then closed his eyes, giving himself a couple minutes.

The figure of a femme was seen as she walked calmly through the forest, the sound of one walking on glass echoing through it as her feet never touched the ground. She missed her est friend and the forest was the only thing that seemed to remind her of him. She shrugged lightly, seeing some one as a brother seemed to create a dependency on them. A thing she didn't like.

She reached where the male was and moved her head to a side, judging by the numerous wholes that he had been at it for qhite a while.
So have you vented off?
She asked quietly, meaning that she thought that he was doing such as a way to vent from something that had happened.

(OOC: Er... what character are you playing?)

He kept his eyes closed. "Nothing to vent over. Just practicing." He was spinning a needle in the fingers of his left hand, twirling one up and down the fingers of his right hand, and had one in his mouth. "You got somethin' to vent?"

(( My only female character; Emireth))

Emireth smirked and shook her head.
Not really. I don't "vent" with other things. Something pisses you off then go and deal with it like that instead of using your energy on other things.
She said with a light shrug. That was just how Emireth was.

"That's a nice philosophy. One I tend to stick to, typically." He yawned, the weighted acupuncture needle not falling from his mouth. "Do you happen to know what time it is?" He opened one of his shining, violet eyes. The darker area in the middle seemed more pronouced at the moment.

It's a good philosophy. Nothing underwater. Makes everything much better.
He said with a smirk and a shrug.
Well that's mainly for temper, games are a different thing.
She amended. Emireth liked to gamble and most of the fun in gambling was to find ways to cheat or catch the others cheating.

She shrugged and looked outside.
Mmm, I'd say about six thirty.
She commented off handed.

He shrugged, since the only real game he played was chess, and almost always won.

"Thanks." He paused and thought to himself, Was out here a lot longer than it seemed. That's really cool.

"So what brings you to the forest at dusk? Looking for some mischief?" From where he sat, he threw one of the needles at the board, striking it a couple inches from the middle. The corner of his right eye twitched in response.

Looking for amusement but I guess mischief could be the substituted there.
She said off handedly and shrugged, slumping against a tree and sitting down.
I'm Em by the way.
She introduced herself, realizing that she had no idea who the male before her was.

What are you doing out here so late anyway? Practiced til now?
She was curious.

"Kotah," was all he felt like saying at the moment. He threw the needle in his other hand and it bounced off the one he had just thrown a moment ago. "Tck. Yeah... My aim is terrible. Been out here for atleast four hours now." He unzipped one of the random zippers on his chest, pulled the needle out, and threw it, landing half an inch closer than his previous two. He took the one out of his mouth and looked at it, gliding the tip across his palm, thinking about his real powers.

To speak the truth Emireth had never really had issues when it came to aiming as she had always been able to control something's path by re-directing the wind. A form of cheating but the femme wasn't really one that people expected to play fair. It came with the territory of how she was raised and ith the fact that she was forced to live in a house that pretended to be a foster home for four years of her life. Deceit was a main part of her.

She shrugged at the lack of speech from his part when he only replied with his name. It was something and she seemed satisfied.

That's why we have magic. To make up for abilities we don't have.
She said with a light shrug.
