"I don't think anyone would do it justice."

He nodded in silent understanding.

"What about your day?"

"Mine? Well... I went down to the lounge really early in the day. Ended up falling asleep with my book over my face. I was suprised no one did anything about that... Kinda hoping they would so I have an excuse to test my powers. After that, I went to my dorm and before I even sat down, I got the urge to play something, and I ended up here." He shrugged. "Not very exciting, I know."

She nodded, "Your Blood Curses Book? Hows that coming anyways? Have you learned anything new?"

"Yeah, a few things, but I havn't tested them out... One of them I refuse to test on someone. It's... ugly; dangerous for both me and my victim, too. I doubt I'll ever end up using it." He shrugged. "Another one sounds interesting, but dangerous if I use it wrong or use it at a bad time."

She nudged him slightly, "Well then I guess thats a good thing, I wouldn't want you to get hurt. You know what we need to do.... We need to find someone who can make dummies. Like, someone who can make another person, not themself because my roommate can duplicate herself but she can feel her clones and I wouldn't want to hurt her. But you know, something for you to practice on."

"Er..." He shifted uncomfortably, having to mention this. "Keep in mind... this uses my blood in various amounts. I read about one that takes a... heafty amount from a lot of wounds. I'd only try it if I was desprite." He paused before adding, "A lot of the others are dependent on the other person feeling them, too... or not feeling at all, so to speak."

She frowned, and looked up at him, "Your power must take a lot out of you then... Isn't that scary? Knowing that you might really hurt yourself if you mess up? And not being able to practice?"

He paused noticably before giving an answer. He raised his hands up from the bench, palms up and facing him. "Yeah, it could take a lot out of me... literally too... but it doesn't scare me. It bothers me I can't practice, but I feel like if the time comes when I need it, I doubt I'll screw it up. And if I do screw it up, I'm sure it'll cast something else and I havn't seen anything in that book that puts the warlock at an even greater disadvantage. Usually it goes like this: The more you apply, the greater the damage. The trick is just knowing how to apply the skill. I'd show you, but I wouldn't want to freak you out." He nudged his head against hers. "Aside from the fact I'd be getting my blood on you, the effects are really weird."

"Thanks for the consideration." She wasn't really sure how to respond. She had never had blood thrown on her, and wasn't exactly up for "dummy testing" but, she would if he needed it. She nudged back, and gave him a small squeeze.

He put an arm around her. "I'd teach you how to play the piano... but I don't have easy sheet music... or any, for that matter." He shrugged and hit a low E cord. "I know a relitively easy song by heart, but it's still rather involved."
