Kotah was off exploring the school again. His times with Enelya were fun, but kept him from really getting to know the school better... not that he minded. He smiled, thinking about the day before at the lake. It's been so long since he last laughed that much.

Glancing into passing rooms, one specifically caught his eye. On one side was a small stack of layered bleechers five rows high, and on the other side was a lonely piano. Glancing around both inside the room and up and down the hall, he slipped inside. He walked over to it, brushing his hands on the keys. He sat down and positioned his hands, slowly playing a song he had learned shortly coming to the school. He, himself, had translated the notes from guitar to piano. After a while, he started singing quietly, the notes drowning his voice, but it harmonized with the strings enough to reach ears. His voice wasn't the best, but he could hit notes with his voice to accent his cords.

"...things that I wish would have happened, of things that I wish you would say... Then you whispered to me, said "I missed you," as I silent basked in your words. These eight letters that keep me from growing out and away from you..."

As Enelya wisked thorugh the art hallways, she was looking for the art room. She thought she might have lost her pastels. They weren't really important, but she wanted to go and draw a sunset later. Maybe not tonight, but later. As she was walking, she heard a piano playing. She followed its tune, and as she got nearer, she could barely hear a voice along with the notes.

She poked her head in the door, and a huge smiled spread across her face. She didn't want to interupt him, and stood silently, smiling, listening to his music. It was wonderful.

But, after a few moments of listening, the music enchanted her, she started twirling around, flowers following her every step. She danced in the room, eyes closed, and waved her arms, letting the song guide her every movement.

Hearing something behind him, he whipped around, his hair flashing navy blue in the light. Unfortunately, he completely lost his balance and fell flat on his back, the seat tipping over and slamming against the floor with a loud bang. "Ow..." He rolled to the side and inched his way out from between the bench and the piano, rubbing his back. He laughed it off, regardless. "Nice to see you came to hear me play." He glanced at the fallen stool and back to her. "...Sorta," he added.

Enelya stopped dancing, and gasped, she ran over to Kotah, helping him up.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you... I just got caught up in the music and started dancing," she blushed, and looked away.

Enelya stopped dancing, and gasped, she ran over to Kotah, helping him up.

He laughed again, letting her help him up.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you... I just got caught up in the music and started dancing," she blushed, and looked away.

"No, no, its quite alright." He dusted himself off. "I just... wasn't expecting anyone, is all. There's a lot of students here, and that song is rather personal. If it was anyone else, they would have had bad luck for much longer than seven years."

She smiled, seeing he was okay.

"Would you finish it for me? It was lovely. I really enjoyed it." She was ready to continue her dance, and noticed the flowers were still around the room, embarrassed, she swished them away, and looked back at him.

He lifted up the bench and sat it upright. Sitting back down, he positioned his hands and tried picking up where he left off. The lyrics were sung in a relitively normal tone.

"... But we still return to the seasons where corners and cracks of this street are still leading me... home..." He stopped his singing for the short piano solo. "This tongue just keeps tieing itself... Unspoken words from the mouth of a bottle of things that I wish I could tell you, of things that you can't understand..." His eyes left the keys on the piano, his head turning slightly. "But we still return to the life where these corners and cracks of this street are still leading me home... these corners and cracks of this street are still leading me home... I keep running back in your direction... to beaches and swings that we know... as empty as when we had left it... Still writing these letters to you..." This was followed by another small piano solo, then into stronger words. "The truth behind stories, incredible glory of you and what my mind has made you. The life that it pictures with porches and splinters and summers. It's making me whole. Still I fly high and away from these things... Still I fly high and away from this dream..." He voice trailed off, but his hands kept playing for a short time, before they, too, stopped.

She listened intently, not twirling. Entranced by his words. She stood there, at the end of the piano, she closed her eyes, making pictures in her mind.

As he finished, she opened her eyes, and clapped. "Beautiful... Did you write it yourself?" She came over and sat next to him on the stool, and gave him a little squeeze.

He kept his hands on the piano as she walked over. "Nah... I didn't. I've writen lyrics that sound almost the exact same as these, but all I did was translate the notes from an acousic guitar." He shrugged and itched his leg where he had fallen on it earlier.

She looked shyly at him. "You said they were personal... would you mind elaborating on that? If you don't want to I would understand entirely. But you should know by now, I'm extremely curious." She grinned and made a goofy face.
