Private One terrible mischief with one unimaginable consequence

"Well... we will have to see about Symlink his own bed but for now I guess you two can share a bed. At least for the first couple of nights." said Izumi, sounding unsure but with a lack of any other plan there it was their only real option for now.

While everything going on with Symlink has been... unexpected, Neon was handling this all remarkably well. Too well in fact. Perhaps Neon hasn't fully realized the impact of being a father so when he is just a kid himself. Just seeing Neon with his son was like reliving the early days with Rin. The initial panic of having an unexpected child, then believing themselves being able raise a kid on their own.

"Ha... that is just something you going to have to always expected, whether they tell you or not." said Izumi with a chuckle, clearly speaking from personal experience. "Neon... I hope you understand the gravity of what your about to get into. We will talk more about this later but just know I am going to support both and Symlink best as I am able. But..."

Izumi then stands, looking exhausted from everything that transpired today.

"... I still have a lot papers to still go through..." Izumi then glances as the stack of ungraded papers and lets out a heavy sigh "... and I think I might need a drink to get by the rest of today. Oh boy."

Later into the night after a few drinks and only getting though only a portion of the papers, Izumi pushed everything aside. With everything going on with Neon today it was difficult to concentrate on her work. Maybe she should just call in sick tomorrow? Either way, before this night ended she wanted to talk with Neon one on one and right now seemed like the best time for it now that things where winding down.

"Neon... can I have a word you? There are a couple of things I wanted to talk about with just the two of us." called out Izumi as she makes her reappearance, looking tired and worn out.

Izumi thought on Neon's offer for a moment, not quite sure what he intended by helping her relax. While she could really use something to make herself less tense, whatever it might be, she didn't feel up for it at the moment. There was just a lot to get off her chest before she can even think about destressing.

"Oh... Neon that is kind of you to offer but... I just... need to talk to you about... stuff. Mind if you have a seat?" beckoned Izumi as she points to a nearby chair.

"Hey now... lets save the apologies for later okay? I know you did mean not for all of this. But like it or not your a father now and I just hope you understand what that mean. I ask that because when I first became a parent I sure didn't. When I had Rin, I thought motherhood was going to be breeze. I mean, I used to teach and watch over child for generations but when its your own child... there is just so much to do because being a parent is 24/7 job on top of the job you already have. There is no pause button when it comes to child develop. While you are lucky to skip the diaper stage, Symlink is still nearly born and they will look to you for guidance. Even when you don't realize it."

Izumi let out a long, exasperated sigh and closes her eyes. Her warning comes from her own personal experience and while she believes Rin turned out just fine... there was so much that she wish she could have done over. Things said she wish she could have taken back and actions taken on opportunities missed. Her biggest failure was the lack of having a fatherly figure in the home for Rin to turn to and she worried about Symlink and their relationship to their... well... "mother".

"... just giving you a heads up on what to expect but for now... just know that through it all I will be here to help out. You are both welcome to live here still and I will assist where I can but I can't be the one to take care of Symlink. Thats going to be your responsibility Neon."

There was a pause in the Izumi, relaxes a bit before her eyes sudden open back up and give Neon a stern look.

"Also... if your going around fooling around with girls... or boys... I don't need to hear about it. My only demand that no matter what you use protection for gods sake. Even if they tell you otherwise, just use protection. And no more screwing computers either okay? If I answer the door to another one of your kids I am going to make you do the all dishes and the laundry for a year. Promise?"

"Good! That is just what I want to hear." said Izumi in a more motherly tone. Now the she had made her point loud and clear, the rest was up to Neon follow though. All that was left was for Izumi to break the news to Rin when she gets home.

"Now... go check in on your son. Make sure to tuck him in and tell him a bedtime story before he goes to sleep. We will figure out sleeping arrangements and entering him to Starlight tomorrow. But for now... maybe he can sleep with you in your room?"
