MEREDITH
Meredith found herself in the woods. She was a woodworker by trade; the trees and lumber she used had always been of great interest to her. She remembered fondly what her parents had taught her before they'd passed; at thirteen, she recalled sanding her first boat by hand, guided by her father. Her mother watched by the side, a deep maroon shawl always wrapped around her thin shoulders.

Now, Meredith wore that same shawl around herself, wandering around the forest with no aim. She felt oddly at peace, as if nothing could really touch her. A moment later, she sat, and began to contemplate things by the side of a small hut that had appeared in her field of view, at times wondering who lived there.

It had been a while since Mystel moved to Starlight Academy, however, as of late, her thoughts often wandered to her old hut deep within the woods. Were her plants doing fine in her absence? Despite knowing that plants do not have a coherent conscious, a part of her still believed that somewhere, in their still, silent life, they'd find it within them to miss her. Well, if anything, she definitely found herself yearning to visit her old garden once more. Stepping into the familiar wild, she let herself relish in its embrace for a few short beats before heading straight toward the hut - her second home.

To no one's surprise, Mystel was caught a little off guard to see someone sitting right by the entrance. The girl seemed to be meditating as she sat in complete quietude. As Mystel noticed the salient crimson shawl that hung from her shoulders, a single word surfaced from her sea of thoughts: fire. Giving her head a few good shakes, she slackened her posture as she regained her composure. There won't be any fire, not here in these woods anyway. Silencing her footsteps, the plant steadily approached the peculiar stranger until she was just a meter away. In the most tender tone she could muster, she then spoke:

"Hey, is anything the problem?"
