Official Speed Dating Thread: Teens​

In the weekend cruise for students, there's a well-lit lounge that opened up for speeddating activities. There's a juice bar, board games, and a DJ playing remixes of the latest 2000's hits. Only characters 18 and below are allowed in. Absolutely no adults are allowed to participate.

Information​

For the speed dating thread, characters will be given information cards where they'll put their name, gender, sexuality, relationship status, if they're monogamous or poly, and age, which they'll indicate in the bottom of their first post to each other. Speed dating encounters should be no more than six posts, with three posts maximum from each player. Anymore, and they'll have to switch to another person, or leave the speed dating. Feel free to go around and just mingle around the lounge, too!

Don't forget to mention the player you want to hit up!

Jane sat at her table, waiting for someone to come up to her and say hi.

John, entertained by Jane's response, leaned into the table. "Do you want to meet up after this?"

Jane nodded. "I'd love to!" Jane stood up, beckoning for John to join her at the deck.

John stood up from the table and joined her.

[Steven]

While Steven was a sort of romantic at heart, he had never been on to really get invested in the idea of Valentines. Though the lure of a free cruise did sing to Steven and eventually gave way to it. He was slightly annoyed though when he realised the cruise was split by age, and that ment no sneaky smokes for a couple days. As well as no oppotunity to drink for sure.

In the end as means of passing the time of the cruise he had thrown his name down for the speed dating for the hell of it. Though compared to others he may not have seemed that interested. With an earphone in one ear, Steven listened to music he liked but could still hear the DJ spinning tunes in the other ear. Which was slightly annoying but he didn't want to seem completely unapprochable. Kicking back in one of the chairs and drinking apple juice. Half reading on his phone, so that the time waiting wasn't completely wasted.

Apparently, this was going to be a popular event, so Victor was here mostly hiding in the background. Somehow, his Name and relationship info found its way onto a speed dating info Card. He would have thrown it away, but with the likelihood o people wanting to talk to him, it would be easier just to have it with him.

"Come on! It'll be fun!" said a perky voice, practically kicking the doors open, dragging along a slightly older boy in with her. Lorencia took two of the info cards and forced one onto her cousin, who reluctantly filled it out just to appease her. After that, they decided to branch off, with Lorencia going for the guy in glasses, and Devias taking a seat in the lounge, cracking a book open.

"Hey, Victor!" she said with a smile.

Quite honestly, he hadn't expected anyone to talk to him. The guy who came here before him, Steven, was still there just playing on his phone. Looking around, the first girl that actually entered the room was speaking to him. He felt honoured.

Looking at her card, he said. "Uh, hi Lorencia? Did i pronounce that right?"

Lorencia nodded. "Yup!" She was new to this dating thing, more so speed dating, but she was told that it was basically learning some things about someone and deciding if she wanted to learn more. "So, what do you like and don't like? That's what people would like to know in these events, isn't it? I'll go first! Umm... I like music, sweets, and art! And I think the only thing I don't like is boredom."

Okay, Victor had no idea how to act on a date, So he just went along with Lorencia.
"Um, well. I like um, Gaming, maybe and ice cream, i guess? I'm not sure what I don't like."


Maybe he had to create a conversation topic. "How do you feel about computers?"

Games and ice cream? She was sold! Lorencia was pretty active and loved games. Ice cream was just one of her most liked treat as well. And so long as she was with Devias, it never melted in the cone. She never had to worry about the mess, which made it one of her favorites growing up.

"I think they're great! Makes things much easier to handle. Though I'm still getting used to this world's computers. It's a little different than the ones in mine." She looked at the watch and she remembered something the people by the door said. "Oh yeah, we don't have much time, do we? If you'd like to, maybe we could get to know each other more? But I understand if you want to meet other people first. That's the point of this thing, isn't it?" she smiled sweetly.

This worlds? She didn't look like an alien, Victor thought. Then again, it could be a parallel universe or similar. "I can show you around some of the finer points if you like?"

Seeing her look at her watch, he looked at his own. Wow, the time went quickly! "It's okay, we can go now if you want. I don't even know why I came here."
