"It's probably some kind of time dilation. Like well my court, but not as terrible... probably," he was squinting at the video, this was kind of weird. There really wasn't anything to note inside the dimension.

"I'm just having trouble wrapping my head around all of this. Do we wanna try tossing something in? I have some spare pamphlets..."

"Huh..." was all Alma could manage as she watched the video for what amounted to several minutes. Sitting up, she fiddled with her phone to see if anything else had changed or was weird about it. It didn't seem like it though. "Time dilation makes sense. If we're gonna put something in it needs to be something that'll change over time. But nothing organic, huh? That makes it harder..."

Alma fiddled with her bracelet, thinking. There weren't a lot of things that would change over a few minutes or hours that weren't organic. It'd be easy to throw a picked flower in and watch it slowly die. But could they?

"I'll do some tests on my own," Jude said. "I'll try and test how extreme the dilation is. I can record via cameras and stopwatches... I could test if things degrade..."

There were a lot of options, but Jude paused for only a moment before simply snapping his portal shut.

"It's given me some ideas, for sure. It's all... well. It's weird."

He was momentarily distracted by Alma fiddling with her bracelet, and after a moment he grinned at her.

"Does it... ah, work? I had a hard time testing it when I was making it. I was pretty sure, but..." Well, on Manta Carlos there were always fringe cases, weren't there?

Jude seemed to have a plan for testing his pocket space. Was it bad that he wanted to stick around to see what the results of his tests.

"Well good luck with all that... nerd," Iggy smirked.

Alma's bracelet was something that could be tested right there if they really wanted. He was pretty sure it was working though. Alma was definitely more than used to his aura in its innate state at least. "I mean, I could ramp mine up to fulll tilt but... I get the feeling that won't be necessary. Can you even feel a smidgen of anxiety?"

He asked, turning to Alma as he did so.

"No, I'm not," Alma admitted with a small grin. If she was telling the truth, she'd gotten used to Iggy's aura in the year they'd bee close to one another. It was almsot comforting in a way, feeling his aura try to push her away and feeling her own draw her towards him.

Now she felt nothing, and she adjusted her bracelet a bit. "It's weird. Usually I'm drawn to you because of how our auras interact. It actually kinda makes my skin crawl not feeling it right now." She laughed and leaned over to kiss him, then turned to kiss Jude too.

"I'm glad to have it though, really. The weight on my wrist feels good, knowing I'm not gonna... ya know."

Jude really couldn't resist making a joke of it.

"In other news, the stressball industry was devastated this month..." She didn't really need them, did she? He'd always gotten the vibe they were somehow connected to aura stuff. The balls tended to come up when auras were around, and she squeezed really hard when someone's aura was dealing with things.

He'd never found out exactly how it worked, but the connection was obvious.

"God I can't believe it's been a whole year since then. It was a pretty rough start, but I think we've finally leveled out. And we picked up this AU cyborg nerd along the way too."

Iggy gave Angelo a look when he made his joke. Someone had to do it. He was just glad it wasn't him. Except he couldn't help but follow up, "They're not expected to recover for another twenty years."

Alma punched both Jude and Iggy on the arms as lightly as she could, laughing along with them. "Wow! Using my trauma as a springboard for your shitty comedy. What great boyfriends I have."

She rolled her eyes and flipped up onto her feet, uncoiling her tail to let it stretch and folding her wings back behind her. Jingling her bracelet a bit, she glanced down at Iggy and grinned just a bit. "You're still handsome and sweet though, so at least I know it wasn't just our auras making me wanna jump you. Although-"

She paused and pulled one of her stress balls out, already pilocked with tiny claw marks all over it. "I'm probably gonna keep some handy. I don't wanna become overly reliant on the charm. That seems like a terrible idea."

Jude let out a (mostly) joking wince, rubbing at his arm and being happy that Alma didn't have much in the way of extra strength.

"Not a bad idea," Jude said, opening his mouth to say something before being interrupted by a small jingle from his phone. He reached down, digging it out before letting out a sigh, flopping back into the grass.

"Work," he said. "Someone called out sick."

His full time availability was a blessing and a curse, wasn't it?

"I'll see you guys later though?" Jude asked, pushing himself up in the grass.
