"Well, that's a hell of a greeting then." James said with a grin, before following Tomos gaze. His stomach let out a rumble as he looked over the food being prepared, and he only watched for a few seconds as the longer he looked at the food, the hungrier he got.

Finally, the food arrived, and it looked and smelled delicious. "Well, time to eat." James said after thanking the waitress. Picking up a piece of sushi and popping it in his mouth, his eyes nearly bulged out of his head. "Holy shit this stuff is good, how have I not heard about this place sooner?"

"I need to make sure I leave an impression, right?"
Tomo said, her sly smirk not going anywhere. She couldn't hear James' stomach rumble, since her hearing was crap, but she could easily tell from his face that he was getting hungry as well. Tomo hadn't eaten in many hours and was craving for some sweet sweet sushi and gyoza.

The food came and Tomo felt the urge to applaud. Jesus Christ she was hungry. James went straight for the sushi but Tomo picked up a gyoza skillfully with chopsticks and ate it whole, almost moaning when the filling melted in her mouth.
"You're welcome."
Tomo merely said at James' comment and grinned. She picked up a gyoza and held it out for James, urging for him to eat it from her chopsticks.
"Try this, it's seriously good. You can't eat this with your hands since it has the sauce on top."

James just looked at Tomo when she said he couldn't eat it with his hands. He almost felt as though that was some kind of challenge. But he'd eat it off the chopsticks just to be safe. Through as he leaned forward and ate it, he held unblinking eye contact with Tomo, before leaning back and grinning.

"It's good. I take it that's the legendary gyoza you kept talking about?" James asked, before sliding some of his own sushi over towards Tomo. "No way I'm eating all this, and you gave me a piece of yours, so take whatever." He said as he took another piece of sushi and put it in his mouth, though this time he did use chopsticks.

The eye contact was kinda weird but Tomo just lifted an unimpressed eyebrow and then returned the grin with her smaller one.
"It's not legendary but it's pretty damn good, right?"
Tomo answered, and proceeded to grab some of James' sushi with her chopsticks. Looked like James could also use chopsticks, huh.
"You are the one paying for all of this, remember that~"
Tomo reminded with a snicker, and then the two proceeded to enjoy the delicious sushi, exchanging banter back and forth. And as they finished their meal Tomo naturally pestered James to give her his number. Because as she had observed earlier, James was okay, and Tomo wouldn't say no to a new friend.
