The figure of a male was seen as he sat on top of a table in the library in a lazy manner. His legs were crossed and he was leaning over in an attempt to get a better view of a picture he had besides his sketch book. Mikah wasn’t good at what seemed to be one of the family’s biggest trait: painting, yet he was quite good with sketches. The male sighed as he looked at the picture which pictured two females dressed in formal. The younger female, seeming to be around the age of six had black hair and the bright green eyes Mikah seemed to be known for. She stood proudly holding up a doll, probably a present, with a Green haired, turquoise eyed female hugging her for the picture. Mikah sighed. Those two were the only ones he missed from home, yet unfortunately for him, he missed them dearly.

The male was clad in a brown hued hoodie as well as ripped jeans, brown converse resting at his feet. He kept on looking at the picture and attempting to sketch it out. All he had was the female’s outlines yet their faces were missing. It was just too hard to catch on paper those expressions when he hadn’t seen them in a while.

As he was he seemed to be oblivious to the world, bright green orbs intent on his work while red hair attempted to shield his eyes from such.

He sighed. So what if he was being whiny and pathetic and emo-ish? He had a right to complain every now and then and he couldn’t really say he was too fond of the school for it to actually keep him out of his thoughts.

The female's footsteps were inaudible except for the slight scuffing of rubber on carpet. She walked with her eyes on the floor, her body language showing that she was obviously quite nervous and yet she still retained a certian amount of grace in her movement.

A duffle bag was loaded over one shoulder, and she pulled a suitcase behind her. She'd arrived just under half an hour ago and had decided to look around, for one person specificly, while the office handled her paperwork.

She paused in the hallway a moment, spotting the person she was looking for inside the library. She sighed softly to herself, wondering if he'd changed at all, and more direly, had he replaced her yet. Swallowing her fear, she continued into the library proper. She halted several feet from the boy's perch, clearing her throat to catch his attention and standing on tiptoes in a comic manner to see over the edge of his sketchbook.

Mikah didn’t lift his eyes from the sketch as he erased the faces for what seemed to be the fifth time.
What?
He asked in a harsh whisper, not meaning to be rude but just entranced within his own art for him to put nor care about much.

The it hit him. It was more of the shadow that fell upon the sketchbook that he recognized as he snapped his head up, looking at her in disbelief. He thought she was back home. Just as realization drew on him he slipped the picture in his sketchbook for it to not be seen and closed it, as if trying to hide that he had missed her. He was one to always conceal most emotions, or at least the depth to which he felt it.

He grinned at her as he stood up and took her luggage from her.
What are you doing here?
He asked her in a soft whisper, his features softening. He shook his head.
What does it matter, you're here.
He said with a smile as he couldn't help but hug her. He hadn't seen her in a long time.

She smiled at him cheerfully, reluctently surrendering the luggage and returning his hug.

"Its good to see you again."

Her expression became slightly whistful at his question, and she shrugged slightly.

"They always knew about my dreams, and you know how my parents are. Always afraid I'll break or something. So, here I am, I suppose."

She shrugged again, a slight hint of resentment slipping into her voice. She knew her parents meant well, but she would always hold her childhood in a bitter light.

At least they mean well. I'm here for they fear me breaking some one. A couple of fights does not meat I will ever hurt Kaitleen.
He said grudgingly and shrugged. He shouldn't linger on it for too long.

It's good to see you too, last time IS aw you was at your party and I don't think me in a dress is a very pleasant last picture.
He said with a grin, slowly creeping into a more serious topic.

I'm sorry about leaving, I didn't know. When I got home my things were packed and we left some hours later.
He explained, trying to show her that it hadn't been his fault. He didn't want for his only friend to hate him or hold a grudge against him.

She frowned slightly, placing a hand on his shoulder in a small gesture of comfort.

"I'm sorry," she said quietly, not sure how to empathize with him. Of course she'd rather be back home, but to her family would always be a distant thing. She was an only child and had been raised more by a nurse and a babysitter then her parents. Being sent away was scary, sure, but it really didn't feel so different. Just a new list of names to learn.

She smiled, however, at his next statement.

"Well, I must say that the dress certienly didn't flatter you, but I wouldn't say that it was such a horrible memory."

She shook her head at his next statement however, meeting his eyes.

"Don't worry about it. I know it wasn't your fault."

She shifted her weight uncomfortably, leaning against the desk as silence decended.

"So...how have things been? Meet any other pretty girls?," she asked somewhat mischeviously.

Mikah grinned at the memory. Now that was a crazy show, he would make it a point to not bet things like that anymore. It was an interesting experiance yet not one he ever cared to repeat. That was when he actually had a group of friends. That time seemed more distant than it really was, yet he guessed time affected things differently.

Aw, you don't think pink suited me? I should have totally gone for the passionate red. It totally matches my hair.
He joked, flipping his hair.

He cringed lightly at her next comment. It was Catori, he wasn't about to lie to her , yet that didn't mean it wouldn't bug him to say the truth.
Maybe? It's a long stupid story and I guess it shouldn't have happened.
He said lightly, hanging his head.

What about you? How man broken hearts did you leave back home?

She grinned at him.

"Red? Maybe. It'd bring out your eyes, anyway."

She arched an eyebrow at his next line; she hadn't expected a serious response, but she politely let the matter drop. She glanced away from him a moment, perhaps wondering if she would meet whoever he spoke of.

"Oh, you know, same as always," she said in vague reply. She was always poor at hiding her emotions.

You think so?
He said with a flutter of lashes and a grin.

He sighed softly, perceiving her mood ashe got closer to her, tilting his head to a sideand looking up at her.
A lot of swooning guys at your wake.
He said with a small smile, feeling bad for telling her in the first place. It might have not been that bad if she hadn't found out.

He sighed.
You fail.
He said calmly. He had been around her enough to pick up her emotions and it was a fact that she was as bad at hiding them as he was good.

I'm sorry Catori.
He offered, though he was pretty sure that wouldn't cut it.

She sighed softly, admonishing herself mentally.

"No, don't mind me. I'm being silly."

She felt betrayed, of course, but she was mostly angry at herself for being so naive as to think the male hadn't moves on already. She was glad he was honest with her, at least, and that he had no waited for her to find out on her own.
