(O) My eyes are open wide, and by the way,

Moon beams shone down brightly, dancing across the water of the lake. The light caused an iridescent, almost eerie glow to spread across the grass, the rocks near the pool of water and even the school itself. This, however, was not the only glow to be seen that night. In his usual fashion Lewis couldn't seem to catch sleep that night. Something about his new surroundings had awakened an apparently dormant case of insomnia in him. It was these times in which he would sneak out of his room and travel quietly down to the lake for some late night practice.

It had to be nearing three o'clock in the morning and Lewis was perched upon a particularly large boulder the tips of his index and middle finger slightly aglow, poised ever so slightly over the pages of a worn novel. Lewis had been attempting for several weeks now to harness his "glowing" power so as not only to complete simple tasks, such as lighting paths or creating a makeshift book light, but also to keep his emotions more hidden than they had been since his powers had surfaced mere months earlier. Lewis had always tried to be a closed book but with his skinned shinning like a star with any strong emotion made keeping himself as mysterious as possible was becoming difficult if not impossible.

So now, Lewis sat upon the cold, hard rock, turning the pages of one of his favorite novels, patiently awaiting the arrival of 6 in the morning, and with it lovely, warm coffee.

Alex couldn't sleep much to her frustration. Akemi was being her usually erratic self and bugging her to use her employ discount at the gaming store. She didn't want to here any of it from her roommate. Besides the horrible trauma of her trying to eat her she is now stuck as this stupid catgirl for the foreseeable future. When the girl threatened to turn her into a kitten that's when she had enough and stormed out of her room in a huff.

Now standing there on barefoot on the open grass she wished she had at least changed before she left. She was only wearing a overly long button up shirt from when she used to be a boy that hung down to her knees and a pair of panties properly concealed by the robe-like length of the shirt. He rail poked slightly out of the bottom twitching with every step she took on the cold grass of the school grounds.

She wasn't sure where she was wandering and she knew the logical thing would have been to go back to her room, but that was the last place she wanted to go. No she was instead going to stay out here until she calmed down or Akemi fell asleep one or the other.

Eventually she made her way to the lake where she stood admiring the moonlight bouncing off the water. This place could be amazingly beautiful at times. Then she noticed an unnatural glowing out of the corner of her eye and her ears twitched and tail shot up.

“Who, Who's there? Is somebody out there?” Alex said before mentally scolding her self that was a move the stupid girl at the beginning of a horror movie would make. That's when she realized the claws on her hands and feet had come out, that was the first since Akemi turned her into this. Was whoever out there really scaring her that much? Alex didn't know that for sure but what she did know is she really should have put on pants before leaving her room.

Lewis jumped slightly when he heard someone call out to him, jumping off the rock in startle he accidentally dropped the copy of "Brave New World" he had been reading into the depths of the lake, he cursed under his breath and his whole face started to glow in embarrassment. He felt the light shining through his skin and turned his back to whomever was in the early morning gloom.

No one, just a student from the school. he called in response, desperately trying to control his emotions. What do you want? Why are you hear? Lewis didn't particularly care what the answers to these questions were he just wanted to draw the attention from himself at whatever cost was necessary.

Damn there was someone there, and from there voice and there thoughts they were clearly male. Tugging at the bottom of her shirt she nervously tried to make sure her modesty was protected, it was but it didn't make this situation feel any less awkward. Clearly they both had startled each other, after all why would any sane person be out at this time of the morning.

“Sorry, sorry.” Alex said slowly stepping forward closer to the stranger retracting her claws and lowering her tail instinctively. “I'm a student from the school too.” She said as she could finally see the boulder that she guessed the glowing was coming from. “I, I was just out on a walk. I wasn't expecting to see anyone out here. Sorrry if I scared you.”
