Now what?

I'm here... now what? Thought a boy that looked to be seventeen. black leathery looking wings came out of his shoulder blades, and the shirt he wore was ripped in the back that were two large holes so his wings could fit through. Red eyes looked over the land before him. Do I just stay here, trapped?... the police look for me... Tarver looks for me... which one would I choose to find me?... my father, or the cops? His eyes looked down, with sadness in them.

Salena says Tarver my father wants me dead, he killed my mother, the cops are after me because I nearly killed a boy... he thought deeper, his mind swirling, and sadness with it. One of these people will find me sooner or later, I'm not going to be safe here all the time.

His hair was pulled in a low ponytail, since he had a bit of it, but it still blew around his head. The sun was not up, so he didn't have to wear his black cloak to protect him from him, but still he was angry that he didn't bring it, just in case the sun decides to come up. But the sky was dark and gloomy, and it was very cold, but no snow fell.

Sohalia had come to see the mountains, looking for whatever it was that gave the teachers reason to send them here only in groups. She thought she'd see more than this, more dragons or more ...anything. So far, she hadn't seen anything, but kept walking. Further on, she glimpsed a pair of large black wings. Excited, she crept closer, but realized it was ony a boy with wings.

She'd never seen this boy at the Academy, but there were tons of people she never saw. It was rather windy, and not warm at all. She zipped up the jacket she'd worn as she got closer to the boy, now almost standing right next to him. She finally stopped, and turned towards him. "What are you doing here?" she asked rudely, in a voice that sounded as if he was insane for being here, yet she was here too. She couldn't see his face well, seeing as the sun wasn't up yet.

The wind was starting to mess up her hair, not that she'd honestly fixed it, but it was getting annoying, and she, irritated, pulled it back, waiting for him to say something.

His body tensed up when he heard the girl but he calmed down a bit and turned his head towards the girl, and he thought a bit what to say to her, he knew he is not allowed to speak about his past or anything, just in case anyone here was working with Tarver. "I'm up here to see the place, since I'm very new here, I want to get to know the place, so then I won't get lost anytime I'm here." He said, thinking that it was a stupid thing to say, but he slightly shrugged and looked over the land again.

"And you? What are you doing up here?" He asked in the same tone the girl had used when she had asked what he was doing up here. And a thin smile was on his face for a little bit and fangs could be seen, though only if you look at him straight in the face.

I guess I should stop sending thoughts to myself about what to do, I'll just have to relax and try to be nice, he thought, getting a bit angry with his hair blowing around his face.

"I'm up here to see the place, since I'm very new here, I want to get to know the place, so then I won't get lost anytime I'm here."

Sohalia held up one finger, "But," she objected, "First, your wasting your time getting to know the Mountains, because the chances you'll need to come up here and incredibly slim. And if you want to get to know your way around, I highly doubt just standing there helps." She would've continued, because she never seemed to run out of rude things to comment on, but he seemed quick to change the subject and asked why she was up here.

"And you? What are you doing up here?"

She grinned, "Why not?" she asked simply. Ofcourse, she didn't plan on really answering, why should she? He didn't say much more, just stood, and Sohalia couldn't help but notice his smile and, "Are those fangs?" she thought, not exactly meaning to say it out loud.

He sighed, listening to the girl object. "Well then I guess I am wasting my time just standing here, though standing here can help, since I am able to see the forest and lake." Roliner said turning to face the girl, his red eyes gleaming. I wish I wasn't a vampire, every time I talk to someone there's a craving to drink their blood, he thought.

When she brought up his fangs his eyes flashed with anger but were quickly calm again. "Yes, there fangs." He said, hoping she didn't mind it, he wanted to talk to someone, he has never been able to talk to anyone much only to Salena.

"Well then I guess I am wasting my time just standing here, though standing here can help, since I am able to see the forest and lake."

"But that won't help you not get lost in them will it? Just cause you've seen the forest doesn't mean you know your way around it does it?" Sohalia objected. She always had something to say about anything anyone else said or did. So, looking at him, she realized his gleaming eyes. combined with his fangs, he didn't look totally friendly. She wouldn't admit it, though, ever. Yet as his eyes flashed with anger, she took an involuntary step back. Her confirmed her thought of the fangs, and she laughed nervously, "Well ... isn't that interesting?" thought her tone suggested it was anything but interesting. "Actually it's kind of creepy, are you some sort of like, vampire?" she asked, hoping there was something other than a vampire that had fangs.

"Not that I'm scared or anything," she trailed off, looking out at the lake.

"I will not be able to find my way around a forest just by staring at it, I'll just know what I'll come to when I get out of the forest, and then hopefully know which way to turn." He said calmily, then focused on her what she was saying next. Well, now I know that she never drops anything, he thought, but he didn't mind, he found it amusing.

He smiled his fangs showing again and his eyes lite up with amusement. "I am a Vampire, what else would I be? A Drag..." Roliner said cutting himself off when he was about to say dragon.

"I never would think you scared of me, after all, I have red eyes, fangs, and black leathery wings, why would there be anything to be afraid of?" He said ignoring what he said a little earlier.

"I will not be able to find my way around a forest just by staring at it, I'll just know what I'll come to when I get out of the forest, and then hopefully know which way to turn."

Sohalia replied just as calm and composed as he seemed to be, "But you won't need to know which way to go when you get out of the forest if you never go INTO it." She was honestly surprised at the fact that her comments didn't bother him, not that she minded. Everyone else here always got angry so much quicker. "And I have no idea what else you would be," she went on, "that whole vampire thing just kind of...." she trailed off once more, not wanting to finish.

"I never would think you scared of me, after all, I have red eyes, fangs, and black leathery wings, why would there be anything to be afraid of?"

"Uhhuh, I supposed that's supposed to be real comforting," she replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes and looking down into the forest, "So who are you anyways? Your name, I mean?" she asked, looking at him. "And why are you coming to Starlight now, what happened to make you come here?" she continued. Normally, she didn't ask so many questions, but today she was just a more curious person.

"Maybe I will not ever go in it, but if I did, I would have to know." He said still calm, but his eyes showed amusement. He looked up at the sky, making sure the sun wasn't going to come out soon, but it was still cloudy which made him happy a bit, then he looked down at the girl again.

When she asked who he was he smiled then did a small bow. "I am Roliner Thramir, the vampire." He said, then he stood straight. "Who are you, now?" He asked.

"And why am I here?... I... I didn't fit in from where I come from... so my aunt sent me here."

"Maybe I will not ever go in it, but if I did, I would have to know."

"Or you could go whichever way you felt and take your chances, either way I doubt it would matter," she replied, "so there's really no point in trying to figure out. You should be more worried about not getting lost in the forest than getting lost outside the forest." Sohalia wondered why he wasn't annoyed, maybe it was a vampire thing, where they just didn't get angry?

"I am Roliner Thramir, the vampire"

"I suppose there's a Roliner Thramir who isn't a vampire?" she grinned, slipping her hands into her pockets and looking up at the sky. It looked like rain, though she hoped it wouldn't come soon. He asked who she was, to which she simply replied, "A human." After a moment of staring around, she added, "Sohalia."

"And why am I here?... I... I didn't fit in from where I come from... so my aunt sent me here."

'Wonder why,' Sohalia thought in her head, but didn't say it out loud. She looked at Roliner and asked, yet another question, "What about your parents? Are they dead?"
