Roman had left Bel at the infirmary and then had taken off to get himself cleaned up, healed, and had gotten something to eat. All three of those thing were a priority to him. He had returned to his nearly empty room to get a dark grey t-shirt and the emergency bandage wrap from a drawer that he kept near his bed. Quickly, he wrapped the bandage around his waist to the top of his chest to help keep things out of the wounds that ran perfectly up his spinal cord. The last injuries were left open near his neck but he left them alone. It would take longer to heal the injuries along his spine then the ones on his fingers that now looked like red puffy flesh. He threw on his t-shirt over the fresh bandage and walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. His bare feet padded along the ground as he headed the nearest vending machine for some jerky and a bag a chips.

Finally, Roman headed back to the infirmary to check on Bel. He had promised that he would return but he had more then one reason for returning. He generally wanted to know if she was okay and he had barely figured out who she was, when they had come out of the woods.

" I see you were put into good hands"
Rom walked casually into the place, like he had been there many times before, and up to her bed. " How are feeling?"

Bel had been propped up on some pillows and was drifting a little when Roman finally came back to check on her. She had no idea if the nurse had told her roommate Agnes about her or the cheer squad, not that she had expected any of them to come running to see how she was since it was the middle of the day still, and they were probably all still out doing things.

"Well, if you take away the fact my ribs hurt like hell, my ankle is sore and that I feel like I rolled down a hill and was stomped on," Bel said joked through the pleasant buzz she was on, "I feel okay, I guess," she said as she looked at Roman and saw that he had changed.

"Thank you by the way, if it wasn't for you, I'd still be down there probably," Bel said with a little sigh. "You know, you probably saved my life roday," she added very seriously.

Rom's eyes widened at her attempt at a joke. " Well, well at least your well enough to start making jokes."He said with a soft smile. " Although maybe you should focus on not laughing just yet."

" Your welcome, but I doubt you would have been down there for very long. I'm sure someone would have missed you and gone looking." He nodded and then spoke again in a humble tone. " I didn't save your life Bel, I only got you to where you needed to be, but I'm glad that your getting better now. I heard you when you fell, My other form has better hearing then this one."

Roman walked around the bed to find a better place to talk to her from. " Did the doctors tell you what was broken? "

Bel wasn't so sure about that, about not saving her life. Oh, she knew Anges, Sam or Aisha and Kon would have come looking for her eventually. But during that time, she could have quite easily had something nasty happen to her, and she was very aware of this.

Watching Roman as he walked around the bed, Bel shook her head. "I didn't break anything, but my ribs are cracked and bruised and that's why I couldn't breathe without feeling like a knife was stabbing me," she told him with a grimace, glad for the pain meds at the moment since her sides still ached badly.

"And you?" she asked, eyeing him with some concern, suddenly remembering the wounds he had shown her before he left her with the nurse, "Are you okay now?"

" I have healing on my own, but it only works on me and it works faster if I have some energy in me. I got something to eat on my way back to check on you again." Roman sat on the edge of the bed and wiggled his fingers in front of her for proof. " My injuries happen every time I shift, and it's not something I need to go to the infirmary for anymore. When I first came here I had no idea what to do when I shifted to a human form."

Rom frowned when she mentioned the bruised and cracked ribs. " Maybe you shouldn't be talking so much then." He gave her a concerned look but couldn't help but asking his next question anyways," I'm sorry if this is rude to ask but, to me you look completely human, but I know that I look human now and I'm definitely not. What kind of supernatural are you?"

"You mean why am I all banged up if I'm supposedly supernatural?" Bel quipped good-naturedly at Roman's question, not at all offended mainly because, since arriving on MC she had become very used to not being the strangest person on the block anymore.

"Well, partly because I am human, or mostly anyways," she told Roman with a tiny and slightly sheepish grin, "I am the goddess Beltane, or should I say, a reincarnation of the goddess Beltane," she explained as she sat up a little in the bed, hiding a grimace from Roman as she made herself comfortable.

" I wasn't asking cause of the injuries plenty of the supernatural can't heal themselves, but yes I was asking because you look mostly human. I have a human form but I am most definitely not human. The only thing My human form gives me is opposable thumbs. " He smiled at his small attempt at a joke.

" I'm a hellhound, In case you didn't know or see me already. " He answered unworried about how she will react because she wasn't in any danger of getting injured more.

Rom thought to himself for a moment, " What's it like being mostly human?"

Bel actually laughed at the opposable thumbs comment and held her side as a tiny jolt of pain went through her.

"So that's what I saw," she exclaimed, somewhat surprised to hear he was a hell hound. She had seen him, or who she suspected had been him, in his other form when she was in the ditch, but she had been in so much pain it barely registered what he actually was.

"Odd, but normal too, I guess," she said, thinking about his question before answering. She had the real Beltane's memories and perused them thoughtfully, trying to sense if there was any difference or not.

"Like it's normal the way everything feels, but at the same time, I sometimes feel disengaged. Like this isn't my reality or my body," she said, trying to explain the oddness.
