Hearing the girl talk about her past, Adrian did not have any excuse to hide his past from her. "You're wrong. I am someone who deserved to be deserted. Being such a freak, I wouldn't have been suprised if they put me into that boarding school you described there." He laughed slightly in the most awkward manner he ever did. "Like you, my family were rich, but unlike you, I wasn't even allowed in any school. At first, I didn't mind, but after hearing kids about my age being able to... I dunno, say words I couldn't pronounce, I felt alone. My other personality's my only companion, but he felt the same way about all of this." Tears were gathering inside his eyes. "Then.... one night, I set a book on fire. That might not have been so bad if the fire didn't spread. At first, my parents thought I was playing with matches. The fire spread and went on through the night... I was abandoned by my parents, who escaped from the house without me. I was trapped. I thought this was it, until morning came and my personalities switched in the usual way. Then... the fire was gone. I used my ice powers to control and put out the fire. When I came out alive, my parents were not happy, but angry at me. They said something about me belonging in a circus, and shaming the family name." He tried hard to hold the tears in, and rubbed his eyes to wipe them away before the girl noticed. "I saved my own life, and they rather I died in that fire."
