Octain heard of the Tsunami heading for the coast. Turning off the television he gritted his teeth as he made his way up to his bedroom seeing Genesis laying down as he took a moment to look at her. Sitting on he bed beside her as he softly placed a hand on her cheek. Softly caressing her as he spoke lightly.

"My love. It is time to awaken from your rest. The island is not safe for the time being for anyone." He said lightly. "A tsunami is going to hit. Make yourself ready. I shall awaken my daughter. I shall get us to safety."

He leaned down as he kissed her lips lightly. Hoping that would wake her. She was beautiful while she was asleep. Nights they spent together were glorious. Sharing the same space when they could. Sighing happily with a bright smile on his face.

"Do take your time my star."

Before standing up and getting his mask and placing it on his face. Taking his hand away and putting on his cloak he moved out of the room. Taking one quick look back at Genesis. Taking steps one after another while making his way down the hallway. Eventually getting to a door. Looking at the door as it was covered in pictures Lexi and polly made. Sighing happily at them as he knocked and opened the door.

"Young one?" He spoke.

"Mmm.." A tired noise came from under the blanket. Lexi was sleeping soundly. The little girl was huddled up under the blanket curled up like a cat.

"Lexi? It is time to awaken." he said. Moving to sit on the bed. Slowly moving the blanket to see the cat eared and tailed girl laying happily in bed. Purring in her sleep as he patted her head gently. "Leeeeeexi~" He spoke gently.

"mm.. Dad..?" Lexi spoke as she slowly woke up. Looking up at him. "Why so early?" she sat up while leaning into his hand. Purring a bit more as she blushed and pushed his hand away. "s-stop it dad!"

Octain chuckled lightly at his child's antics. only to speak in a hush tone. "We are going on vacation. It seems this island is going to have something happen and I must get you and Genesis to the mountain."

Lexi was still half asleep and confused. "O-Okay daddy.. I'll get ready."

Octain nodded his head and kissed her forehead through he mask. The idea was still there.

"That's my good little girl..."

Octain had left the room. Waiting in the livingroom from his girls to get themselves ready. He didn't need to pack anything since most of his clothes were on the mountain anyways. He opened the door to his study. Books were vanishing left and right.

"I have taken precautions to store your works with in my library my lord." He heard a voice inside his head. "Shall you return to the castle Magistar Octain?"

It was General Mountain. The telepathy with in his head linked them and bound them by unity as his familiar.

"I shall my friend. I will be bringing Lexi and my chosen. Please treat them with the utmost care. Both are near and dear to me."

"I understand my lord. I await your arrival." Octain heard with in the confines of his mind. An almost impenetrable fortress that had access by a select few. He moved out of the room as he closed his eyes. Speaking an ancient tongue as the door flickered. Vanished and turned into a portal. Standing by it as Lexi came down the steps.

"When are we leaving daddy?" She stood beside him and looked a the portal. "Where's mo-.. Genesis?"

"Give her time. It shall be her first time upon the mountain. We shall not rush her."

Lexi nodded as she picked up her bags and looked at Octain. "I'm.. gunna go first."

"Go ahead my daughter. Remember; The inhabitants shall be cautious of you. Do not fear or hurt them. They act as servants but are our friends more than anything."

Lexi nodded as she ran through the portal. Finding herself on the other side...

She knew this day would come.

Even in her deepest slumber she could feel the earth trembling underneath her. The land drawing apprehension from the water. There was a natural imbalance in rhe atmosphere so potent it leaked into her dreams. She could feel it.

The flood was coming…

But was it at all natural?

It meant something. It had to. But before her dreams could figure out this prophecy, a smooth hand guided over her. Even unconscious, she could recognize that gentle touch anywhere

Her eyes softly opened. The blue that lingered in the springtime was returning. In fact, her body was beginning its recovery from its frail winter form. She was almost her vital, lively self again. ”Orais…?” She asked in a mute yawn, as she slowly sat up. The draping nightgown she had on revealed the current sign etched in black on her back- Pisces, the two fish that carried the sign of water.

How fitting.

”A tsunami?” She asked softly, her mind going to trace over her dreams. So it was real. ”I foresaw this happening. I will get ready at once my beloved.” And as he exited the room, she made no haste in getting herself together. She had stayed over at his house for the past few days, though had enough to pack up all she needed. Grabbing a hand-made bag, she began to neatly yet quickly pack what she needed. Right after, she threw on the nearest tunic and pants she could find. Grabbing her boots, she briskly made her way out of the bedroom door. She looked down from the bannister of the stairs. Seeing her beloved, and his daughter.

Genesis headed down the stairs with the messenger bag she needed. ”I am ready to go…. But… Where exactly are we going…?”

Octain watched his half come down the stairs. Each step along the way as Lexi had just passed into the doorway which shimmered and swirled with energy. Octain moved to let her get a good view of it.

"We are going to take refuge with in the confines of a mountain that floats high above the clouds." He said looking at the portal. "T'is friendly and shall not hurt you or get in your way. I promise we will be safe."

Octain turned his gaze back to Genesis. Holding his hand out. Keeping his eyes on hers as portal kept it's golden shimmer going. Taking a quick look at it once more before awaiting for Genesis to move to his side in front of the portal.

"One.. two.. three.." He spoke before taking Genesis into it. Feeling his mind and body moving from the confines of a house to a lush forest. His vision returned as voices rang into his ears.

"Our Lord returns! Your grace, we humbly beg you forgiveness for not giving a proper welcoming the mountain spirit gave us little warning of your return. Or containing the young girl.. she's already made it to the castle to her room." Kobolds, birds, and other magical wildlife bent their knees to Octain. Lining up as of Octain were a king to them. Their Lord and master. As beings of the mountain.

The area around Genesis and Octain was a forest. Filled with life. The sounds of running water. Even a waterfall. The climate adjusted to the weather of the world below. A rainbow sprang over... a mountain bit even more. On the base of the mountian. A carved castle that had a stair case leading to the inside of a temple structure. Upon closer inspection the building looks it was it being renovated by the creatures of the forest. Who all seemed to bow to Octain.
Octain moved to the closest one.

"All of you rise. You are not servants as I keep saying. Each of you are a friend. You need not worry about my daughter. She's a lot more stubborn than her father. Be sure to tend to her needs."
The creatures all got up as they gave one last bow to Octain and looked at Genesis before running off into the forest.

"Genesis. Welcome.. to my true home. My life's work. And my friend. My familiar." He spoke lightly. "General Mountain."

He spoke. His veins grew as more and more energy flowed into him. Taking a deep breath. He could feel his heart beat in time with the mountain's crystal pulsing. Looking up it was almost like they could touch the stars. Just out and become one with the universe.

While that happened a young kobold. A tiny bipedal dragon with no wings walked up with a water skin to Genesis. It looked up at Genesis then at Octain.

"Hewwo. Words Chosen. We wish to gweet woo to dah mouwntain. Pweese take dis fo while woo are here." before running up to Octain and Octain kneeling down to pet the creature.

"Thank you little one. Please. Return to your family and have a fruitful life. I am indebted to you. Due to my connection to the spirit of this place. The creatures that inhabit this place call me their Lord. They are all faithful and loyal to those who are close to me. Even you." Octain responded. Then looked at Genesis.
The kobold nodded it's head and ran off into the forest waving at Genesis

"Bai Bai nice wady!"

Eventually it was just Octain and his love.
"Off to a great start are we not?" He looked around. "I.. hope this is enjoyable for you. I wished to show you this place for a long while."

A sentient… Mountain..? Genesis tilted her head, as if that concept was difficult to understand. She hadn’t heard anything like this before. Why hadn’t Octain mentioned this before..? Her mind raced with so many questions for him. Either way, at least it was somewhere to go amidst this catastrophe. If they had all stayed here.. Well, there probably wouldn’t be a future for them.

”Alright my dear.. I trust you. Let us go before it is too late.” Lexi had already gone forth, and Genesis trusted she was safe. There was no cause for her to fret. They’d be okay, at least that’s what she kept telling herself. With a soft, easy smile, Genesis grasped onto the hand of her beloved. Closing her eyes as the two stepped into the shimmering portal, into a land brand new to her.

When she opened her eyes once more, Genesis found herself in an entirely new land. Her lips parted in a subtle gasp, as her eyes scanned the area. The scenery was.. Breathtaking, to say the least. She had never seen such a pure, untouched landscape in her life. It felt so right just standing here. All of her worries disappeared as she clutched the hand of her Octain. But just as she opened to speak, it appeared that all sorts of creatures all clamored to pay tribute to the master of this land.

Octain really was an awe-inspiring individual.

She smiled brightly up to him before looking at each individual creature. All seemed to be so happy with his return. But as he stated, he was no master. He was a friend, which Genesis attributed to his natural sense of humility. She kept silence for now, until the bulk of the creatures had left. ”Octain.. This is all so wonderful, I have never seen such beauty. It is an honor to be here, my love.” She whispered to him, her eyes on his mask as she smiled gently. Just then, a small dragon approached them. Kind, as the rest of the creatures had been to her. She kneeled down.

”Hello little one. Thank you for your hospitality..” She gave an affectionate cup of her hand around its head, before dropping it as it turned to leave. ”Farewell.” Genesis called, before standing back up. Once again alone with Octain. She turned to face him, before tracing her hands to hold each side of his face.

”You really have outdone yourself, my magistar..” She chuckled before nudging her thumbs to the bottom of his mask. Moving it from his chin to slide it to the bottom of his nose. Just so that she could lay an affectionate kiss on his lips. Releasing after a few moments to replace the mask back on his face. She stood back to close her eyes and inhale once more deeply. Turning back to the path a bit in front of him. And, in a rare turn of events, the Pieces emblem etched into her skin began to glow through her tunic, unbeknownst to her.

”Strange… I feel.. Different here, in comparison to our normal home.” She mused, before shrugging her shoulders. ”I wonder why that is...”

Octain felt bad because he had not told her about this. Though for good reason. He wasn't sure on how she would react that he had a familiar of a floating magical mountain that hovered over the island and could move between planes of existence. Move over differed parts of the world. The Mountain swapped planes to protect itself from prying eyes who wished to harm the lives of those who were thought extinct or even dead. Those handful of precious animals that were once here and vanished. He was happy that he could show her this place.

Just wish it was under better circumstances.

"This.. Is a mountain with a magical crystal embedded into the heart of the core. The mountain has become it's own ecosystem. Its own living being. It is alive." He spoke. Holding her hand. Octain had packed lightly. Mainly his mask, cloak and a small satchel. He started to walk forward. Looking at the trees, the flowers and plants. Each one teeming with life and a free will almost. "Life is untouched here. Myself and Lexi are the only ones who the mountain will take care of. The many denizens of this land have always ensure that we eat, drink and sleep at regular times that fit our needs."

He kissed her back when she moved his mask. His own hands moving to her cheeks for a moment before holding her hands lightly in his. She had the power over his heart. Which granted her access to the movements of his mask as she saw fit. If she wanted to rip off the mask and toss it to the ground. She could do so. Octain would never fight it. The air was teeming with different smells, none of the foul only glorious smells of life.

He smiled when she said he outdid himself. Giving his own little chuckle and a smile under his mask. "I must keep impressing you then, This isn't the half of it my love."

"You.. Are also welcome here. As the girl that I cherish dearly you shall never have a problem here and always welcome."

They went back to walking up to the steps. A temple like structure stood before them. A great room with tapestries of stories of a man clad in a red cloak's fight against various things. Like the mountain itself. A Tower and a few others that made Octain out to be a god. The room was lined with stone though as if it was chipped away and on the other side were two doors that were opened up. Seemed Lexi got inside first and forgot to close the door.

"Could be.. This Mountain is Magical in nature. Both natural magic and unnatural." Octain turned his head to look at something glowing on Genesis. It was where he sign was? What does that mean? Does it mean something important?

"My Lady? Your sign is glowing." He spoke lightly. A bit of worry in his voice in case something was wrong.

Genesis continued to gaze at the environment around her. From the lush forest to the tower they were approaching, there wasn't anything that lost her interest for one second. The slight upset she felt for not being told this sooner disappeared when she realized why he did so. This sort of place could fall into the wrong hands at any moment. All it took was a set of wandering ears to pick up on something they shouldn't have.

But now the secret was between them. And Genesis promised to herself to not tell a single soul. ”I hope that one day the mountain will accept me as well. Lexi must love it here.” She muttered almost to herself. If she were still a child, she would have certainly stayed around here more often. It was much better than living in hiding most of her life, at least. She trailed ahead of him in a soft, gracious stride. Her eyes scanning the tower they entered. Her sign still glowing, to such a degree that the room around her was becoming illuminated. She still hasn't picked up on that, until Octain had said something.

”What...?” She glanced over her shoulder, her eyes widening at the revelation. ”It has... Never done that before... At least... Not in our home realm at least...” She looked then at him, before turning around to face him. ”I do not feel ill. In fact... I feel rather energized. Perhaps this means something...” She approached the stairs, her sign still lighting the way. ”My powers may be awakening... I guess we shall see.”

With that, she looked back to the road ahead. ”Where are we heading to...?”

Walking through the room Octain had the safety of his child and lover in mind. Making sure nothing was after them. It had seemed the island had accepted Genesis with out an issue. Good. He got to a set of double doors. He went to push them open- but. Something stopped him. He wanted to show her the rest of the place before...

The throne room.

"Lexi does love it here. She enjoys the freedom and those who dwell here. Or just sleeping here. I believe it may have already my love." he spoke lightly taking his hands off the double doors for a moment. looking at Genesis before rubbing the back of his head.

"It could be the effect of the mountain. It grants all those with magic more power since the mountain is made of magic. Bathed in it almost- though. it is just a theory I will look into once we have returned." While she was feeling energized, so did Octain though. He looked around. Realizing no one was around and took off his mask. Placing it in his bag to show his handsome face as he turned to Genesis for a light kiss on her lips. "Well, once we finish looking around we could potentially look into your powers should you wish."

"Well. I should give you the tour of the place. Though.. The first place we go to is the heart of my castle." He said. Opening the door. Revealing a floor of cut marble, a red carpet, many chairs as if an audience were coming. A spacious room with pillars reaching the high ceiling and walls covered in different tapestries of different forms of magic and gods. A throne sits at the other end. Octain's throne. The room empty as a hushed silence filled the air. The marble flooring was met by stone pillars and stone walls. Cut to perfection.

Taking a few steps in Octain turned around.

"Welcome to the Throne Room. Where.. I reign. My kingdom of no followers."
