Noelle Drakenhardt

Noelle blatantly tries to stand out from the rest of the Drakenhardt family by dying her hair neon green and purple, along with wearing matching green and purple contact lenses. The contacts are both cosmetic and a necessity, as Noelle is somewhat near-sighted. Her natural hair color is red like most Drakenhardts, and her natural eye color is amber. Noelle’s body type is pear shaped: small chested, but wide in the hips. She's a fairly tall girl at 5' 7".

She dresses in a Cyber Goth style, mostly black with some bright neon colors to contrast. She is secretly interested in Gothic Lolita style as well, but feels a little awkward that it’s so much more ‘girly’ than her usual outfits.

Noelle is often seen wearing partial masks—not only as a fashion accessory to her Cyber Goth looks, but because she doesn’t want people pointing out how her and Florence look so much alike when Florence is around.

Noelle’s dragon form is…not a conventional dragon, to put it mildly. She’s more like a Hydra, with the bulk of her body being where her multiple necks stretch out followed by a longer, skinnier section of her body like that of a snake. While she does have scales, Noelle’s dragon form looks more like gray and green contorted flesh than a conventional scaly dragon.

She has four pairs of leathery wings along her body to keep her in the air, and a pair of arms but no legs when she is on the ground. She slithers like a snake, and has to use her arms to hold up her massive body.

Noelle’s multiple heads each represent a copy of herself that she had created for her time travelling powers that later returned to her. Every time a copy of herself returns to her, a new head forms. She currently has eight heads. Each one has an eerie green glow within their eyes, nose, and mouth—and the section where the heads grow from has the same green glow as well.

Since Noelle is still a young dragon, the larger bulk of her body is about the size of an SUV, while her extended snake-like body extends about as long as a football field, 120 yards. Her longest and largest neck stretches 15 feet, while her shortest only reaches 6 feet.

Noelle has a third form between human and dragon. She can build special armor around her body from parts of her dragon form--horns, claws, and wings. It resembles her dragon form with the dark gray 'skin' and glowing green parts.​

Noelle is every bit an angsty, edgy teenage girl. Her favorite music genres are electronic and metal. She likes her entertainment dark and non-mainstream. She thinks she’s better than people who listen to Pop music and watch Hollywood movies. She pretends to understand weird art films when she clearly has no idea what is going on.

Noelle is known to be a bit of a delinquent. Because she has been caught using her time control powers to cheat on tests, Noelle has to wear a power suppression bracelet during her classes, though she is allowed to take it off outside of school. She has also been known to sneak off at night and go clubbing, and tries to sneak an alcoholic drink or two once in a while. She can occasionally be caught smoking or vaping as well.


Noelle is an analytical, right-brained girl who wishes she were more creative and left-brained. She’s skilled at math and coding, and occasionally makes cash on the side designing websites and apps when she has time outside of school. She tries to draw, but is not particularly skilled at it. She tries to write, but her prose is stilted and her ideas are contrived. Noelle is forever frustrated because she feels being good at things like math and coding make her ‘boring’.

Noelle comes across as standoff-ish but is actually pretty shy. She gravitates to people who are ‘like her’—aka other angsty goth teenagers—but struggles to really make close friendships. She’s often too busy trying to do things to impress others to really focus on what she enjoys.

She gets annoyed with hyper and overly-optimistic people—considering them naïve and oblivious to the world around them. The fact that her older copied self, Florence, is all about living life to the fullest with as much optimism as possible drives Noelle up the wall. Where did she get that nonsense from?​

As mentioned before, Noelle’s dragon form is quite large and powerful. Her eight heads each have a set of strong fangs, and her arms have large sharp claws. She also has a pair of massive, ram-like horns which protrude directly on her body above her heads, rather than on one of her heads.​

One of Noelle’s major weaknesses in her dragon form is that her scales are small and not as protective as other dragons. It is fairly easy to stab through her flesh with a sharp weapon or claws—but since she is so large, it takes several attacks before she will start to weaken and become incapacitated.

Despite being elementally closer to an Earth dragon than any other type, Noelle’s dragon form is faster in the air and rather sluggish on the ground. When grounded, Noelle prefers to stay in one spot and use her powers to attack, rather than try to move around. If she needs to move, then she will take to the air with her four pairs of wings.​

Noelle gained a special ‘form’ from her birth mother, which is in between her dragon and human form. Pieces of her dragon body form over her human body like an armor. Her armor is mostly built of parts of her horns and claws—making her armor much stronger than the skin of her dragon form.​

Noelle is considerably stronger in her armor than when she is in her regular human form. She isn't much stronger in her human form than a regular, athletic teenage girl since she is so young, but in her armor she becomes strong enough to lift 1000 pounds.

Noelle is an okay fighter, having learned some basic kicks and punches--but she could stand to learn more. She has no experience with weapons.​

Dragon Form and Dragon Armor Abilities:​

-Sinkholes: Only available to Noelle in her dragon form. With the vibrations of her roar, Noelle can open up sink holes as large as 150 meters/164 yards in the ground. Each one of her heads needs to roar in order to make this work—if even one is incapacitated, she cannot perform this power.​

Other than the fact she is a dragon with time powers, Noelle’s life has been mostly uneventful for her 17 years on earth. Her two mothers work in the fashion industry, living mainly in New York but frequently travelling the world. They would occasionally go to Manta Carlos to visit the rest of the Drakenhardt family who reside there, but for the most part Noelle was used to living among humans and hiding her identity as a dragon.

In private, Noelle would experiment with her time travel powers. She would only have the opportunity to do the same with her dragon form when her family would briefly go to Manta Carlos for visits, so she always felt more of an attachment to her abilities as a time traveler than to her heritage as a dragon. She loved to send copies of herself back in time so that they would eventually return with memories of new places and experiences.

But one time, something went wrong. She sent a copy of herself to 17th century France, but the copy suffered memory loss along the way—completely forgetting who she was. She started living her own live, completely unaware of her dragon origins or the fact that she was expected to merge back into the original Noelle one day. To keep a long story short (see Florence’s history for the details), Florence lived under several different aliases mostly in different areas of France but in some other European countries as well. When she eventually regained her memories and returned to Noelle’s consistent timeline, she did not merge—but instead became her own individual person. The copy took on the name ‘Florence’ for good to avoid confusion between herself and Noelle.

After Florence appeared, Noelle realized she could no longer time travel. She could still speed up or slow down time around her, but she could not send a copy of herself into the past or future. Something about Florence gaining her own self-awareness and becoming a separate being messed up Noelle’s own powers.

After the appearance of Florence and Noelle’s time travelling powers becoming defunct, her parents decided that it may be best to send both of them back to Manta Carlos. For Noelle, she could go to the Academy and perhaps regain her time travelling powers and learn better control. For Florence, they hoped it would be easier to adjust to the new time line she found herself in among fellow supernatural beings, rather than attempting to fit in among humans.

As Noelle’s parents still had their own work obligations back in New York, they asked that the rest of the Drakenhardt clan still living on Manta Carlos keep an eye on the two.​

-The reason Noelle considers herself non-binary is because, while she likes to present as feminine and is comfortable with female pronouns, she also finds she is very comfortable presenting as male when she creates copies of herself to go back in time.

-Noelle’s mothers are named Shaina and Alita. Alita was the one born into the Drakenhardt family, while Shaina married into it. Alita gave birth to Noelle via a surrogate donor. Noelle also has a younger brother named Darion.

-Part of the reason Noelle gravitated to Cyber Goth fashion is likely because her parents both make what she considers 'preppy' clothing and, well, teenagers gotta rebel.​
