Eli Pelham
Having been able to contact the police despite the large explosions in the background, Eli watched as the War machine walked out. At least now he had an exit as well.

The police got this, Eli said to himself, seeing the approaching lights. You can leave now, and no one would know you were here.

No, he had to see how this ended. How would they even capture the War Machine?

Still trying to stay out of sight, Eli slowly followed War.

Fixated on getting to where a great disturbance was, War had no idea someone was tailing her. Much less the creature that kept running from her. For now at least. The sirens faded as she dashed into to the wooded area. The denizens of the forest could feel the destruction she could potentially unleash upon their habitat, and they panicked, running away and not daring to be in her path. Eventually, the calm part of the woods ended and she reached the Forbidden forest, where she could be heard chuckling, as if she had been expecting something here.

Staying back twenty of so metres, eli tracked War through the Forest. Keeping hidden behind the trees, He tried his best to be cautious, but once he reached the forbidden area, Eli paused.

He had been here before and was reluctant to return. Taking a step back, Eli heard some twigs snap, and winced. The only other noise was the Laughter, but hopefully, they were too engrossed in that to hear him.

The snapping of the twig might have put the amalgamation on alert, but it was quickly drowned out when bigger things came into view, namely a pair of walking trees, only about twice her height. Their bloody branches and the corpse of another creature, too flattened to make out, meant that this was where she wanted to be. Sensing the hostility of the metal maiden, the ents, using large, fallen branches as clubs, immediately turned on her. Her turret fired and hit the first one, blowing off one of the ent's arms. However, as she did before, she was hovering off the ground when she fired, and so had little to counter the force of the recoil that threw her onto the ground, leaving her in a precarious spot as the other ent's club was falling towards her. But as it would turn out, metal was a lot tougher than wood, and so she was simply indented into the ground. Not without pain, but she was definitely not out of the fight.

Eli tensed when the War machine froze as he stood on a twig, but the Arrival of the Trees was something else entirely. He was in awe of the Ent's size, yet also in fear of their recent kill. These truly were the Guardians of the Forest.

It happened so quickly he couldn't tell who attacked who first, but when he finally caught up, One was missing an arm, and War was embedded in the earth. Was this even a fair fight? If not, then in whose favour was it?
