Option one. You take this deal. You have guaranteed double pay. Everyone is happy.
Option two. You continue being a dumb cunt and trying to play hands you don't have. I shoot your fucking kneecaps out and then we ask again."

Broen kind of shrugged. There was no passion in his voice. Just calculated logic. "And if you somehow get away, it won't matter if you tell Tomas. Because I already have a bead on him and will just put a bullet in him and you lose your paycheck."

Zora just looked blankly and with no emotion at Broen when he talked, keeping quiet now. She knew that it should bother her that he could and would kill her brother, yet, surprisingly, it didn't. After today, there was no love left in her, she felt numb, she was not going to protect him anymore, nothing. She had known that Tomas resented her, but hadn't ever thought he hated her enough to do this to her.

"If you could kill him as easily as you say, then why haven't you done it yet? Why go through all this trouble?" Sevina shook her head. "I hope she isn't some respectable lady," she nudged her head towards Zora, "Because you were not at all good at keeping yourselves hidden from wandering eyes. But I suppose dealing with the authorities is your problem." Sevina loved how this turned to a contest on who threatens better. As if losing a kneecap is worse than what she had to go through. "It's not about the greed, boy toy, it's about the principle. You wouldn't take a job to kill her just because someone doubles the price, or would you? Say I triple the paycheck she's giving you to turn and blow her brains out. Would you do so?"

Broen paused and scratched his temple with the gun. Considering what Sevina said. And then he laughed. "Okay, I can't argue with that. Loyalty is important, but don't be a fucking zealot is my motto."

"Though," he added, glancing slightly at Zora. "You'd be hard pressed to pay me double what she's paying me. See, that's the difference. If you ask me to kill her for double pay, that's a one time deal. She's offering sustained double pay for sustained work."

"And frankly, I haven't killed Tomas yet because he hasn't fucked with my client yet. The second he legitimately comes at her though, he's dead. Until then I got no beef. I just do my job."

"Actually ... my brother is fucking with me, right now..." Zora murmured, devoid of emotion, at Broen's answer. She then looked at him and smiling faintly, she knew that whatever Sevina was getting paid by her brother, was way less than she was paying Broen. Thankfully.

"In fact, if I were you, I'd decide soon, because if I give the order, he will kill Tomas," she said looking darkly at Broen, and then back at Sevina, "and then what? You will be left with - half, I'm assuming?" she deduced. "Also, this will be over, deal off the table."

"Go on, do it." She challenged, smiling darkly. "I don't care about the money at this point. I just want to see if those threats mean anything at all." Thomas was nothing special in Sevina's eyes. He was a disposable employer. There were many more like him. "Besides, even IF I take the deal, what would be your end game? Just spy on him?" So much plotting on one's demise, but Sevina was honestly confused on why someone would go through so much trouble, paying off employees, approaching dangerous hired thugs to get them to rethink their allegiance? If the boy toy can just hop in and kill Thomas just like that, why hadn't he done it yet? Just to prolong the danger surrounding Zora? "It leads me to think that there's something more you'd want from your brother. Or do you just like the thought of being so superior to him that you want his hires to kill him for you. Have him die through betrayal? Is that what people here call poetic justice?"

"Well if that's the case..." Broen said, looking at Zora pointedly. "Then I guess these negotiations are over. Tomas will be dead soon enough and you'll have fuck all."

Broen put an arm around Zora and pulled her close. He kept the gun out, wary of Sevina's every move. If her link was established, she'd be able to tell that he was one hundred percent genuine. He was done with this, and fully prepared to go murder his way through whatever hideout Tomas was in.

Zora actually looked at Broen, and laid a hand cautioningly on his chest. "Not quite yet..." she said, not wanting him to go off on a killing spree if it could be avoided. She knew she'd have to deal with Tomas, but if cold-blooded murder could be avoided - for now, so much the better.

Turning to look at Sevina, "My end game is to stop my brother from ruining my life and those around me," Zora told Sevina truthfully, "Until now - until you," Zora said darkly as she looked at the Praxian, "I never suspected that he'd try something like this. It's not about being superior, or revenge, it's simply about self-preservation. It always has been about that. That why I sked you here..."

"Anyways, the offer is on the table for the next ten seconds..." Zora said coolly, "Take it or leave it. The choice is yours..."

Sevina laughed heartily, holding a hand to her chest. "That's a good one. " She reached her hands out in a cross with a grin on her face to offer a shake to the two of them. "If you can see what I'm capable of, you'll rethink your meager offer. But let me say this just once. The only reason I'm letting myself do this is because I know I'll have to face your or your brother and mash either of your faces into your own intestines. And you're prettier than him. So let's shake on it, shall we?"

"You're not making the deal with me," Broen said, gesturing to the fact that he had Zora on one arm and his gun in the other hand. "I'll just take your word, and the notion that I imagine you like staying alive and with a comfortable amount of money in your bank account."

Broen wasn't really willing to stick around much longer. He hated these types of things, really. Just get in, negotiate like civilized people, and get out. Why did everyone have to make it so hard? He glanced at Zora, still ready to teleport at the first sign of trouble or when she told him to, whichever came first.

He didn't think... well, he hoped it didn't need to be said to Sevina that if she fucked them over, he'd be paying her a really unpleasant visit somewhere down the road.
