First Entry: After One Month of Classes

Nia sat on the floor of her room. Around her were the few books she had been assigned to read over the current semester, however, there was a problem; she had finished all of them already and couldn't remember a thing about them. This brought a sense of panic over her and she began to cry. Her weeping was so loud that it caught the attention of her dorm parent, Makara.
He entered her room through the door. Literally. He was a ghost after all. He kneeled before Nia and carefully placed a hand on hers.
"What is wrong?" His voice was soft, just loud enough for Nia to hear him between sobs. He didn't want to startle the poor girl. She cried for a minute more before regaining her composure enough to respond. "I...I read these b-books?"
Makara nodded, "Yes. This is the third time this week."
Nia began to sob again, this time for almost an hour before she finally cried herself to sleep. Makara sat there silently the whole time. He stroked her hand and watched her while she slept.
