Pain erupted throughout her chest and stomach, even radiating down her right leg.. Her vision swam as she took each step slowly nearly stumbling as she went. It was agony. A endless cycle of pain. A personalized purgatory. Thankfully Evelyn lost the person that was tracking in the bends, twists and turns that made up the alleyways.

With a quick intake of scenery and a labored breath Evelyn walked forward and ducked into the back door of the familiar Russian themed bar. The young military defect was more than grateful that she had found herself so close to a familiar place.

Darkness dotted on her vision as Evelyn shoved the back door open. Taking a started breath in her hand on her side, clutching the oozing wound at her side practically in her stomach. Taking a haggard breath in she yelled out Pasha in Russian.

"Pasha! Please... Are you here?"

The evenings early in the week were often hit or miss, and tonight was a miss.

The place was deserted save for the barkeep and owner, but he wasn't even present in the bar. Instead, he was upstairs putting away the remnants of dinner. He was contemplating just closing the bar down for the night and tucking himself onto the couch to read the daily newspaper when he thought he heard the groaning of a metal door being pushed open.

Then his name came floating up the stairs and shit.

He didn't recognize it, but it sounded rather pained nonetheless. Of course he had no idea what was going on, so he grabbed the nearest knife - and his apartment was just full of knives and guns - and crept down the stairs to peer towards the front, then the back door.

It was that girl. He didn't remember her name, but he definitely remembered how she pulled a goddamn gun out in the middle of his bar. Now she was stumbling in, bleeding, calling for him like a mewling kitten and why did she think this was a good idea by any stretch?

He stepped down into the bar proper, a heavy scowl on his face.

"What are you doing?" He spoke in Russian.

"Pasha.. Please forgive me for showing up here of all places. I need a place to hide for a moment."

Her skin mimicked alabaster as she stood there trembling speaking Russian. The wound she was clutching at her side was closer to her stomach that a flesh wound that grazed her side. With shaking bloodied hands she ejected the clip in the gun and the bullet in the chamber before dropping the knife she had in its sheath leaving both gun and knife on the floor.

Returning her hand to the side he could see how much blood was staining her pale blue shirt as she limped closer to him. Closer and closer calling his name apologizing with each step. Like a kicked and limping kitten. Though with each step she took it looked like she was trying to minimize the blood that dripped onto his floor by the way she placed both hands on the seeping wound in her stomach.

"Pasha..."

Pasha had always been, and would always be, rather critically analytical. It was a survival skill back at home and during his heyday, even more so. World War I, II and the Cold War hadn't exactly put a damper on it either.

So at the sight of blood, all his training more or less clicked back into gear. Shit, there was a whole lot of blood and it looked to be an abdominal wound. Not so pleasant. First thing in his head was the hospital.

But why had she decided to come back here, of all places?

"Is anybody with you?" He took on a slightly more defensive stance, both shoulders squared out and mentally ticking off where he kept the nearest weapons. If someone decided to come running into the door after her, he would be ready for it.

"No. No one followed me. There were more but I managed to get them to loose my trail after killing one of their ranks and then pushing them back with my powers over gravity."

As she spoke in Russian beautifully her voice shook and trembled, it would be known that the young defect was fighting tooth and nail to NOT succumb to blood loss and faint then and there. Trembling growing worse still she wobbled a bit on her feet before sitting down on a chair.

A barely audible apology was murmured from her lips as the sound of blood droplets hitting the bars floor below is heard. She was sorry for bringing HIM trouble, sorry for bringing him a mess, and now sorry for making him worry.

"This was the closest place for me to hide Pasha. Forgive me."

While ordinarily Eve would refuse medical treatment and opt out for doing it herself there was something that she could not do.. She could not for the life of her bring herself to refuse this. The weakened kitten had hit a level of pliant that it didn't matter. The girl was going to follow all of Pasha's orders and obey.. Fear kept her awake and pride kept her lucid.
