Kristin raised her eyebrow, "and just what am I?" she asked him. Kristin wasn't sure about what he mean't about that. She threw another rock, and looked at him waiting for his answer.
Judas smiled.
"I mean the state of your powers, they don't seem too destructive, too complex, I assume they don't drain away at your being. That, comrade, is a gift, trust me. Too many people on this academy are obsessed with their powers, aggressive, driven mad."
He chuckled.
"Mad?" Kristin repeated. She wasn't sure if he was joking it scared her a bit. "Have you ever met anyone.....you know...like that?" Kristin asked, she tried to hide the fact that she was a little scared.
Judas smiled.
"Don't worry, they are few in number, and generally the academy is full of saner people such as me who wouldn't think twice in setting them straight. I've met a few...Beware of one, Aoeles, a wielder of ice, he thinks himself some god of power, not thinking twice in firing bolts of ice at innocent females and icing up the entire gym."
He chuckled.
"Of course, as an expert of flame, I tend to correct his mistakes."
"I'm not worried or scared if that's what you think. I can take care of myself." Kristin said, she didn't like the idea of someone thinking she was some scared little girl that couldn't take care of herself. Even if it was true.
Judas nodded, smiling.
"Of course, of course. It's simply important that you realize that the people of this academy generally mean well...I didn't mean to startle you with news of maniacs and such."
He chuckled.
Kristin smiled back, "Sorry I didn't mean to jump at you like that. Thanks for telling me about the school maniacs. I'll sleep with my eyes open for now on." Kristin said with a little laugh.
Judas chuckled.
"No, no, I understand...No one likes others thinking they are defenseless. All of us in the academy are special in our own ways...All of us. Tell me, have you been here long? You really must see more of the grounds."
"No I haven't just a day. What could be more pretty?" She asked pointing at the lake with a smile. "I like here." and she decided right there that this was going to be her spot where she would get away from everyone and everything.
"Yes...it is beautiful, isn't it...A calm place, truly, I hope I wasn't interrupting some meditation of sorts on your part when I came...Truly a nice place."
He smirked.
"Although you really ought to check out the rest later...Dances, parties, competitions...Goodtimes, usually."
