He stood up, standing inches above her. "Hey, wait- Jen, right?- if you're in that much of a rush, I can fly you up there," he offered, quickly catching up with her and walking side by side. "And if not that, at least let me walk you up there. Though my way would be faster," he said finished, sincerely hoping the girl would accept his offer- he loved flying.

Jen turned back to look at him. She didn't like heights, but then again, she needed to trust more. But there wasn't any water to catch her she fell. She was glad it was getting darker, because it hid her blushing. "You... Which ever way... which ever suits you." she said, keeping her eyes on feet. He's so tall... Oh, what am I thinking? I have to find Mum, theres no time for romance. she thought, scolding herself for being such a ninny.
Smiling, he walked around behind her, grabbing her from under her shoulders and securing her with his arms holding each other, but making sure it wasn't too uncomfortable for her. "Alright. Are you ready?" he aske dpolitely, so as to let her know he was about to go- he'd shocked her enough already.
He's grabbing meeee... Jen thought. "I... I guess so..." she said, almost wishing she had taken the trail. She thought of the feeling of breaking every bone in her body, slowly and painfully dying, and she shivered. She closed her eyes and waited for him to take off.
She was obviously uncomfortable with the whole flying ordeal- then again, they did just meet, so it was reasonable.
"Don't worry, I'll go slow," he told her, trying to reassure her. There was the sound of very small and soft jets, and suddenly they were in the air, hovering slowly but surely over towards the cliff, bypassing the path entirely.
Looking around, he couldn't help but smile. "Look how beautiful the sunset is," he commented out of nowhere, trying to get her mind off the whole heights thing. He wasn't lying though- it was spectacular as it reflected off the horizon's sea.

"I.. I can't!" she said softly. "I.. I don't want to... to open my eyes..." she added, firmly keeping her eyes shut. It was times like this, when she held the locket Mum gave. Instincts made her reach up to grab it, but instead, she touched the boys hand. She kept her hand on it a second longer, then jerked her hand away. He probably thinks I'm an idiot now. Another one added to the pile she thoguht with an inward sigh.
"Aww, come on. Do it for me, huh? It really isn't something you'd want to miss," he replied before feeling her hand touch his before quickly recoiling.
"What's wrong? Should I fly slower?" he asked her, wondering if she really was that scared.

"No...Its not that... I... I promise." Jen said, dying to explain her story, but didn't want him to think she was unfortunate and pity her. She didn't want pity. "Its... Its not that I'm scared of... of heights. Its... Its just I'm scared... scared of the fall that... that kills." she said. Oooohhhh, what am I doing here? Flying with aboy I hardly know! I'm such an idiot!
"Oooh," he replied as they neared the cliff. "Well, don't worry. I won't drop you. Besides, we're almost there- and I think you could see the sunset from the cliff anyways," he added.
Curiousity got the better of him, and he had to ask-"So, what's your power?"

Jen was getting uncomfortable now. "I can control water and.. and turn into it... only when I really want to though..." she replied, praying that she would fall. Why am I only thinkiing about the fall? Why am I acting like an idiot? she asked herself, And why don't I open my eyes?
