Hazel noticed Haru frowning at Hazel. She knew it was how she just kind of flopped onto the couch. But it wasn't that bad in the long run. As Hazel got comfy, she could feel her nose being pinched followed by giggling. "I wasn't falling asleep."

Haru then pulled out her pistol, emptying the magazine out. She was a bit surprised that Haru had it with her still. They were in her home and probably wouldn't be attacked. Except for Iza. But even then shooting her seemed a bit extreme. "Well, uh, what should we do now then?"

"Hmmm, whatever is fine with you. We could watch a movie? Play a board game? Or have a heart to heart about our deepest darkest feelings? The last one being bad for a teenage girl trying to get proper sleep."

She placed the magazine on the end table and put the pistol properly next to it. She hadn't really expected company so her plan was to just cuddle up next to Hazel in the bed and watch crappy movies. However, another idea came up into her mind. If Hazel was having trouble sleeping maybe she could do a pseudo therapy session.

"Actually Hazel."

Haru jumped over the rest of the couch past Hazel and sat down in the armchair not to far off from where her mistress was resting. One leg crossed over the other she leant back and grabbed a pen from the end table drawer.

"Tell me how you feel? What makes you tick.....besides your beating heart."

Hazel wasn't up to a heart to heart at this time. Well, she usually wasn't up to heart to hearts. So, she would probably avoid that one for the time. Plus Haru knew why she was having trouble sleeping anyway.

But it didn't matter because it seemed that was what they would do anyway. She let out a small sigh, adjusting a bit as well. Her shirt hiked up a bit to show off her bloomers as she adjusted. Not that she minded, giving how Haru did her laundry.

"Well, what would you like me to say? You know why I am having trouble sleeping. Not really much else for me to say for that."

"Whatever you feel like really. Like I said, a heart to heart between us doesn't seem appropriate. My goal is to keep your mind away from....that and focus on other things. My sleepovers were a lot more down to Mes as I was younger and could prattle on about farm work and how the crops were coming in......you know what how about you ask me some questions? Maybe picking your own brain for ideas will tire you out."

Haru put her feet up into the armchair, trying to ignore the conversation that was going on in her room. From what she could hear her sisters were discussing something about a dog, a library book, and a piece of gum. HHow those things strung together she didn't know, but she was sure to hear about it later.

Hazel nodded. Well, she could ask a few questions to Haru. Well, if the goal was to keep her mind off of things, Hazel could help with that herself. Plus she could impress Haru with her language of Oleti.

"Okay then." So far so good, given the language she was speaking. "So, first question... Why did you continue to stay as my maid? I'm sure with your skills in fighting and powers you could get another better paying job easily. Not that I don't appreciate it, mind you. Next question is why the suit instead of a dress or something similar to that?"

Huh? That was all that really came to Haru's mind from the questions Hazel had chosen to start with. She was both proud and happy that Hazel could follow the first rule of interrogations. Opening with easy questions was something she had done quite a few times before just calling in a more aggressive partner but she still admired the gentle touch of questioning.

"Well, As you know I worked for your cousin first. After I saw that you had such a lovely family it would feel wrong to just leave after you opened your home to a foreign civilian. Plus after I got to know you it made the job twice as fun. Short answer I guess would be I love you and want to keep you safe and watch you flower into a wonderful lady......As for the dress...."

Haru caught flashbacks of her mother trying to put her in quite Messian dresses that were colorful and vibrant, she hated it. Dresses weren't good for fighting and defending herself. With her line of work she was forced to wear them on occasion to please a government official or insurgent group but even then she hated it. When she was able to finally put on pants and overalls again she was at her happiest.

"I just don't like the...looseness? Yeah, we can go with that. They look pretty on most girls but I'm not really a fan or a looker so I avoid them."

Hazel kind of knew that was why Haru stayed. She just wanted to hear it straight from the source. A sort of reassurance, given everything that was going on with her life at the moment. But she was also thinking of another question to ask Haru. And she figured one out pretty easily then.

"Yeah, that's understandable. Though I think a dress could like quite pretty on you. But suits do fit you a bit more. Aza would probably be the one to wear a dress out of you three. Speaking of, how did the three of you meet?" It was probably adoption or something. At least that was her best guess.

Haru laughed a bit when she heard Hazel say Aza but didn't bring it up as she hoped it would happen again when Iza was around and it could piss her off. Of course, Haru wasn't going to let her act on her cruel thoughts but it would be fun none the less to see her sister squirm a bit.

The next question seemed like another basic question one would ask a person but also dug deeper into Haru's life, smart. So far Hazel was passing her little mental test with flying colors. Maybe she should've been a spy. Haru tapped her chin for a second and then thought of the simplest way to explain her relationships.

"Well, I've known Iza since I was a little girl. Though we didn't talk as much and I barely saw her as our parents weren't and aren't on the best terms with each other. Iza had met Azi when her mom was on a mission at the Space station above Mes. She was fairly young....well younger than she is now, and the two of them hit it off pretty well. When Iza found out Azi's father was a former slave and struggling to feed his family as a janitor she hired him and his wife.....Sooooooo eventually I saw Iza again because of our parents business arrangements and all three of us played together. As far as I can say we've been like sisters ever since."

That was a mouthful, but explaining all of that without too much detail cut it down a decent amount she felt. She heard a bit of yelling coming from her room along with a maniacal laugh that she was sure was Iza. That girl was always making trouble. She just hoped her underwear drawer wasn't being gone through.....who was she kidding.....it probably had.

Alright, that answered her question. Completely wrong in her guess, but it was cute to imagine a kid Haru with other friends. Calling each other sisters and probably being stupid with each other. She didn't ask about what kind of business it was, cause it was probably farming stuff.

Though she did have to sit up and look at Haru's bedroom. Well, it was probably a safe assumption that Haru's underwear were probably being touched maliciously. Well, along with pictures and maybe putting stuff in her underwear drawer. "Well, it sounds like they are having fun in there... Do they do this often? With you helping these uh, pranks(?) at times?"

".....No, normally I try to stop them from getting into trouble but Iza has always been a fan of mischief.....Don't worry, I'm sure she won't bother you as long as I'm here with you."

Haru noticed that the noise quieted down and soon two freshly pressed girls walked out the room. Both were wearing pretty elaborate dresses and had some of her small earrings in their ear. At first, she was more confused as to why Azilma was wearing a dress but figured that was what Iza's laughing was about.

"Going out?"

"We are gonna go get drunk and maybe make a few....friends. Anyway, no talking from me.Let's go, sis!"

Before Azi could even say goodbye she was whisked away out the room and the two girls left the room in a cold silence again.

"Huh, Well....I'll probably regret letting them leave in the morning but at least we are free again."
