Tokala stared in open amazement. He'd never seen the cliff before. In fact, before he'd come to Starlight Academy, he'd never seen much more than the cage he lived in.
Now, though, he stood about five feet away from the edge, hands over his mouth. He was glad for the gray hoodie he wore, even if it was rather big on him, and the cargo pants that sagged around his hips. The wind up on the cliff, with no trees or buildings to block it, was cold.
