Aside from some snickering from Ade (which she thought was because of Jojo's nickname, and fair enough, it was a bit silly,but it was a name) , Lilian couldn't see any reason not to contribute to the conversation, so with a cautious tone, she commented. "Béatrice seems very brave, to have gone out like that and taken care of the situation." She might very well have been the person who had kept her son alive... A wave of guilt washed over Lilian as she thought this, but quickly shook the thought away again. She had heard of a Malara around... but only in passing, she thought.
"Anyway, Joey's been such a great help around the shop - I've got him handling some of the displays, he's a great help with keeping my supplies in order.. I might even have him help keep track of our regular guests," she admitted with a laugh. "Joe writes everything down - it wouldn't surprise me if he found a way to help out using that." Another chuckle, but this one held a slightly wistful tone. "I'm so proud of him." Another smile, and then she was right back on topic.
"Arjean must really be into art, then - the place looks very nice," with her usual gentle smile.

"You should tell him to be more subtle about that," Béatrice said with a grim edge to her voice. "It's good to take notes, but he can make people uncomfortable doing it so openly." There were multiple times she felt the need to tell Joseph to knock it off with his note-taking and intrusive questions, but lately, that seemed to have disappeared, or maybe he was becoming more subtle.

Béatrice's face glowed when Lilian mentioned Arjean. "They are. I guess artistic talent runs in the family. I'm so proud of them." She giggled. "I guess both of our kids have been very helpful with us. We need to set up some playdates for Arjean and Joseph. I think he's a good influence on them. Maybe when Arjean's birthday comes up."
