Nate, overall, doesn't have much of an outstanding appearance. He seems pretty regular. He stands at 5'9, a decently average height for a man. He has an almost average build. It's almost since he is a bit athletically fit, but not exactly enough so to say he is athletic or toned. Just, it's pretty obvious he has muscle, not a lot though.
Most commonly, Nate has slightly darker toned skin which remains a consistent tone all year round. He does tan a little during the summer months, but not that much. Especially since he does use sun cream. Other than that, he doesn't have any freckles or other markings. The only exception is he has a single scar which goes from his left jaw to a bit below his left eye.
He has darker brown hair which could almost be described as black. It's a shorter length that is incredibly messy looking, but is easily kept out of the way of his face. Nate also has a beard, obviously matching in colour, however there is no beard where the scar is on his jaw.
Continuing with the whole theme of just being pretty regular, Nate has lighter coloured blue eyes.
Attire wise, Nate wears anything that is comfortable and casual. Most often some kind of jeans paired with a shirt or t-shirt. He dresses according to the weather. Usually has darker coloured clothes.
Personality Description: Nate is, overall, a laidback guy. He doesn’t particularly take anything seriously, and requires a lot of evidence to sway his opinion of things. He’s incredibly sarcastic about things he doesn’t believe in. However, Nate is pretty flexible when he does learn something new. He doesn’t seem all that surprised by things.
Due to how laidback and snarky he can be, he gives an impression he’s faking his personality. He doesn’t really show much passion for anything, seeming pretty indifferent. However, he genuinely is just pretty relaxed. The exception to this is when cooking comes up. He does have other passions but doesn’t appear to be that enthusiastic, but he becomes a lot lighter and enthusiastic when it’s cooking.
Active Abilities: Telekinesis - Nate has telekinesis, something he only discovered recently. However, it’s nothing that... spectacular. Currently, the most it can do is push very light objects (with phones being on the heavier end) and mess around with things like light switches. Even then, Nate actually doesn’t have control of this ability. It activates randomly, and Nate isn’t even conscious of it being used or not. Additionally, it is only ranged to anything within eyesight.

Biography: As far as Nate knew, he was originally born to a single mother who couldn't raise him, and handed him over for adoption. He was adopted fairly quickly, and raised by his adoptive parents. But for Nate specifically, this isn't entirely true. A baby boy was indeed handed over for adoption, but while he was in the care of an orphanage, he fell prey to a certain group of demons.
This is where Nate actually comes in. Nate is a goetic demon who was born to a realm who made habit of kidnapping human children and swapping them with demons of the same age. This child left in an orphanage was swapped out with a demon. The demons that were swapped were supposed to die after a couple of years, very similar to certain types of fae who also kidnap children.
When Nate was around two, he did get very ill and was supposed to die. However... he just didn't. He was able to survive past the point that he was supposed to die, and was continued to be raised as human. Himself and his parents completely unaware that he was a demon in the first place.
Aside from this, Nate has lead a pretty uneventful life. From a young age, he was encouraged to pursue an interest in cooking since his parents weren't the best cooks. Although he greatly enjoyed it, he never felt much of a desire to pursue being a chef, or many other jobs in the culinary industry. In fact, he found himself disinterested with a lot of career options. He did, however, always enjoy media. A part of him wanted to go into some kind of media, but there weren't as many options at the time as there are today.
While Nate was 17, he went on a camping trip with some friends. During the trip, they decided to go on a biking trail. Along the way, Nate had an accident which resulted in the scar that is on his face to this day. A pretty mundane story for a scar, frankly.
Nate finally got introduced to the activity which would become part of his job when he was 19. His childhood friend wanted to visit an abandoned building in their home town because it had always seemed haunted, even when they were kids. Nate went along with them, and his friend used a camera to record the whole thing which was then uploaded online. From a mixture of the friend getting scared at every little thing, and the fearless sarcasm from Nate, the video gained a small amount of success.
Nate's friend found their calling in life, and Nate went along with it. The whole thing generally introduced him to YouTube and content creation, him being the one who edits a lot of the videos they upload. He started his own channel which focused mostly on cooking, providing tips to people new to the kitchen, how to cook food, or even just trivia type videos. Although not massively famous or anything, Nate has achieved a nice following for his videos and has earned a reputation as being a good source for beginners. He uploads several videos a week, with at least one being a cooking focused one. He’s able to earn a living from revenue and sponsorship.
Obviously, along with this, he had previously done a slightly popular ghost hunting series with his childhood friend, where he also gained a share of the earnings. But since both have moved to the island, the series has stopped being filmed.
He has continued this job of doing these ghost hunts with his friend, and posting cooking videos, since he was 19. Now 24, he has been doing the job for five years. But things were about to get complicated.
While him and his friend were having a day off, they decided to just hang around. Went out to get food, go see a movie, do some shopping. Just a pleasant outing. But while the pair were in a particularly quiet street, a demon from the realm that Nate originally came from bumped into them. This demon was able to recognise Nate as one of the demons from this realm who was supposed to die when quite young, and decided to get rid of Nate there and then.
Both of them sustained injuries, thankfully none life threatening. Mostly flesh wounds. This was thanks to the fact that a former resident of the island was nearby, and was able to intervene. Thanks to the street being quiet, there wasn't much of a breach for the veil. The scouts were contacted, and it was determined that it would probably be a good idea for both Nate and his friend to move to the island. Mostly for their own protection after getting almost murdered by a demon, plus the fact Nate is in fact a demon.
After a month, to be able to get time to move to the island plus recover from his injuries, he finally did move to the island. He was informed of the fact he was actually a demon, and considering the circumstances, he took it pretty well plus had no reason to doubt it.
